This property is ideally located for a serene ocean view stay. Our plans changed, so instead of a three family reunion, only two good friends shared this stay. We were surprised to see the property was under construction - apparently adding additional rental units, and though we were not bothered by the work going on, the appearance of this house was altered quite a bit from the posted photos - which appear to have been taken some time in the past. This takes away a little from the charm of the home. The amenities - spa, and picnic area are run down and the big lawn was unattended. Since there was no stove in the kitchen, it is fortunate we did not have to prepare food for several people. Being resourceful, we were able to make do with a variety of small appliances.
The location is a few miles away from Waldport, the nearest village with a few restaurants, and we were able to find a couple that were quite good. This property has the potential to be an excellent place for 4 to 6 people, but the owners will have to pay attention to detail and improve the overall appearance of the grounds. Once the building is painted and the roofing replacement is complete, it will look much better, for sure. During our stay, it was not a great photo opportunity. As a suggestion, it would be nice for guests to be able to access some apps on the TV for movies, music, and sports. The owner apparently does not make most of these channels available to guests.
