Amazing property both home and surrounding area. Amenities were great and everything was well maintained. The road was a little sketchy in areas probably from recent rain but still plenty passable.

Great stay

Perfect hi-desert hideaway - private, safe, and clean w plenty of wildlife sightings. Hiking in Joshua Tree was fantastic. We especially loved stargazing from the hot tub.

Great location among the rocks near Joshua Tree

The home is inviting and simple. The surrounding community is quiet and secluded, making it easy to relax. Explore the trails around the area directly from the property. Kids enjoyed climbing the many rock formations in the area. Nice to sit in the hot tube at night and gaze at the night sky.

Awesome getaway.

Loved the seclusion. The house is appointed well. Touches like blankets for couch, easy entertainment system, comfy beds, instructions for everything. Loved the place. And it’s only 8 minutes down the hill to town for groceries or whatever. One piece of advice for drivers. Gps, when u get close and are on the dirt roads, wants you to take ridge view. Don’t. Stay on cobalt. Gps will redirect. Only a 20 second difference but ridge view is way more bumpy.

All about the sunrise!

This house is perfect for connecting with the desert vibe, visiting the park, and heading over to Palm Springs for a few hours. Nice design, layout and appointments. The view, especially sunrise, was better than expected. Use of the garage is a nice touch. The primary bedroom/bath area is a little too open for my taste. The toilet is in a closed area, but everything else is open. The road in isn't great. Do not follow GPS. For safety, I'm asking the host to update the directions to use the dedicated turn lane one street to the south (recently paved) instead of stopping in the middle of a busy highway to turn left in front of oncoming traffic. All things considered, it was perfect! We will be back.

Very nice property with great views in the front and lands behind for hiking .

All very happy. Closeness to The city of Yucca Valley a plus and proximity to JoshuaTree, Palms Springs was great allowing for as much choices for recreation / exploration as possible.

Spring in Yucca Valley

We had a wonderful stay at The other desert house. The house is beautiful and well appointed. It was clean, check in and communication was great. The outdoor spaces are thoughtfully placed around the house to be able to enjoy stunning sunsets, sunrises and surrounding. We sure hope to come back again.

This house has a great personality. It’s stylish without being cold or aggressively trendy, cozy without being cluttered. We loved the pool, pool table, vintage magnavox, record collection, bocce. The views of rocks, sky, full moon, and city lights are great. Homestead modern has thought of everything to keep you comfortable and entertained. They provide excellent, nearly instantaneous service. The neighborhood is great for walking— plenty of the flora of JTNP is right here!— and very quiet. The only thing to consider is whether you want a full desert, dark sky immersion— this is not that, it’s in a neighborhood. Originally we had booked something slightly more remote, but there was a problem with the property, so homestead modern gave us some other choices. Given that it’s June and hot, and that we have a teenager, this house with a pool and pool table ended up being better than the more remote house with no pool. We spent 4 nights here and I think it’s our favorite vacation rental ever. Great for familles or a few couples.
