Shaba boutique was in the middle of Stonetown on a beautiful and bustling street but not a loud street. The hotel staff was amazing, room was wonderful and general feel of the hotel was great. It is a no frills hotel and doesn’t serve lunch or dinner (but it does have a delicious breakfast) but we really enjoyed our stay there.

Clean hotel in the middle of the Stone Town

It is a colorful and safe place with smiling staff. The breakfast is generous. It is very nice that they have drinking water, also hot water and tea bags available throughout the day. AC works in the room, which is very helpful in the African heat. The only thing that Tanzanians cannot get right is plumbing. The shower in some rooms sprinkles water in all directions and leaks from the pipe junction. Otherwise, it is a good place to stay.

Beautiful aesthetically romantic property in heart of stone town. Lots of shops around but a bit of a walking distance from where car drops you off, but that’s just how stone town was built.

Couldn’t fault anything! Such a lovely and very boutiquey hotel with extremely comfortable beds. The staff were great - we arrived very late due to delayed flight but were welcomed and shown everything in the room. Breakfast was delicious - great fruit platters, decent coffee, lovely omelettes and probably best chapatis I’ve had anywhere. And breakfast staff also super friendly. Finally - they have a water and hot drinks station outside the rooms so you can help yourself - lovely touch. If there was one small negative it’s that although it’s very central I hadn’t realised that you have to walk about 5-10 minutes from a car drop off point - that’s fine if you have wheeled luggage but we didn’t!

Abbiamo soggiornato per 3 notti in questo splendido boutique hotel nel cuore del centro storico di Stone Town. La posizione è perfetta per vivere l’atmosfera autentica della città: non raggiungibile in taxi, ma a soli due minuti a piedi dalle strade principali. La nostra camera era ideale per una famiglia con due bambini: ampia, pulita e molto confortevole. La colazione è davvero ottima, con una vasta scelta tra dolce e salato. Da provare assolutamente i pancakes freschi, la frutta e alcune specialità locali. Il vero punto di forza dell'hotel è però il personale: gentilissimo, sempre disponibile e attento ad ogni esigenza. Hanno organizzato per noi un late check-in alle 4 di notte senza alcun costo aggiuntivo, dimostrando grande professionalità e cortesia. Consigliatissimo per chi cerca comfort, accoglienza e un’esperienza autentica a Stone Town!

Mon séjour dans cet hôtel fut absolument parfait !!! Justin et son équipe nous ont accueilli de la meilleure manière possible … la chambre était confortable doté d’un balcon vu sur tout stone Town… Le petit déjeuner était très bon et fait maison Merci à toute l’équipe, vous pouvez vous y rendre les yeux fermés Je recommande vivement !!!
