I will start with the pros:
- Owner was easy to get in touch with.
- Refrigerator was broken and the owner provided a new one the very next day.
- Reimbursed us for one night since we left early.
Cons:
- The place was very dirty. There was dust, spiderwebs, and cob webs everywhere. My kids feet were disgustingly black from walking on the indoor/outdoor "carpet" within 10 minutes and I ended up having to buy them socks from the DG bc I would not let them walk around barefoot. The box fans were caked with dust. Dishes were dirty as well.
- Spiders and other insects all over the place.
- It was HOT. There are two window units cooling the entire place but they didn't do much good due to the amount of cracks and gaps in the building. The back room with the queen bed and the rooms with the twin beds didn't cool down until around 11pm.
- There is exposed electrical throughout the place and no real lighting except for the kitchen and bathroom. Each bedroom had a lamp. I'm pretty sure there are only lamps so that you can't see how dirty it actually is.
- TV did not have a remote and since it has DISH network we couldn't use the TV. We tried to manually turn channels but that didn't work either.
We left two days ahead of schedule. The owner did reimburse us for one night yet we missed two. Overall, this is NOT a place for children nor family get togethers. This is the type of place that you pack a bunch of the guys in, fish from sun up to sun down, drink and sleep, then do it all over again. We probably would have stayed if it were clean and cooler. It's hard fishing in the sun all day to come back to a hot box and never actually feel clean. We didn't expect luxury but we definitely thought it would have been better.
