Rooms were musty. Didn't like the barn door to bathroom that was hard to move and the location of the room in back by the woods and couldn't use the patio because of the rain. Other rooms could still use their patio.”

“Lovely atmosphere with private feel yet still very close to beach and park. Breakfast on site was good and many places to eat within walking distance. The nature walk on property feels more 'jungle' then the trails in the park itself. We had two rooms side by side which worked well for our family of four. Pool area is very nice with shaded palapas. Trail at end of parking lot to beach which is flat and off the main road. Highly recommend if you want a smaller, quiet resort within easy walking……

“If I could give Gaia 10 stars, I would. The customer service is truly outstanding. We were a family of four, and after a 4-hour plane ride, a 2-hour customs line, and a 3½-hour drive from San José Airport, we arrived at the hotel completely exhausted. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and care. Friendly staff immediately took our luggage and transported us by golf cart to the lobby, where four fresh fruit drinks were waiting for us. I was introduced to my concierge,……

“There really is nothing to fault. What an incredible stay. Perfect location. Easy to walk to the beach and local restaurants, supermarket etc. Staff were just delightful esp on reception and in Anaconda, made such a fuss over my son for his birthday. Room was huge and the view, well just to die for, (B2) never had such a large balcony, it was amazing. I did question this hotel before I booked as there was some mixed reviews and the pictures were dated, I am so glad we did, it exceeded all……

“What a lovely hotel! It was an unforgettable experience. From our patio, we saw so many birds, lizards, monkeys - it felt like we were living in the forest. Our room was on top of the hill and we had a beautiful view. The rooms were clean, spacious and well equipped. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. It was very convenient to have the restaurant on campus. The location is walkable to grocery stores, ATMs, the beach, etc. 10/10 would definitely recommend.”

“Lovely stay at the Gaia Hotel. The location is ideal and the staff was very helpful. The restaurant was excellent and accommodated my gluten issue. Gorgeous sunset views from the bar at the top of the resort. Because the resort ascends up the hill, there are lots of stone tile steps that can be tricky to navigate. Watch your step. Be sure to tour Manuel Antonio National Park (reserve a ticket in advance) and go to the swimmable beach in the park. The beach closest to the resort has strong……

“The hotel was one of the bests I’ve ever experienced while traveling!! Staff was so very kind, Rooms were clean, breakfast was diverse and nutritional, and the best part was seeing wildlife (monkeys, toucans, lizards) right from our balcony. ”

“The staff here are so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very spacious. We really enjoyed our stay and sitting on their beautiful back porch watching the spider monkeys play. The breakfast is made to order and very good. The only down side I would say is the road they are located on is busy so you do hear traffic noise.”

“Great manager, she is kind, knowledgeable, funny, and easy to reach. The place was clean and good location. Great for those on a budget not needing every amenity. If driving, back into parking lot. Grill currently not available due to building of an outside sitting area. Not sure you can walk to marina in 20 minutes, nor would I given the hill, but you definitely cannot walk to the park. Don’t think this error in landmarks is the fault of Tico Tico though, but the reason for my 3 stars on……
