Hudson beach great for sunsets
Wooden stilt houses in the Gulf of Mexico just offshore at the mouth of the Pithlachascotee River. Theses havens from the mainland have a rich history dating back about 90 years, and with only nine left their rebuilding after storms makes them symbols of perseverance. They have been havens to fishermen, summer homes, fishing camps, weekend getaways. Johnny Cash owned a home along the river leading to the stilt houses and often blew off steam at Des Little’s "camp," as the locals call them.
OMG ! This smelled so bad !! Make sure to ask the Captain to approach from UPWIND if possible. Seriously... It just about sent a few of us "chumming" over the side-rail and I have a pretty strong constitution. Our room was very nice. Had everything we needed and also very quiet. OMGOSH, the sunset was just amazingly spectacular. The restaurant was also nice, food was yummy.

The whole facility was clean. The furniture needs to be updated but I wasn’t there for luxury. Beds were hard too. Overall stay was great and food was good!!
