5/5 - Excellent
Highly recommend The Lighthouse restaurant and the little cinema

Old hotel looking tired breakfast was mediocre and I would have expected a better breakfast considering the cost of the hotel

My main criticism is the WiFi didnt work. The Vodaphone address didnt exist. Otherwise as an individual renter it was sma but had everything I needed.

Unkept garden ( not usable), no dustbin, next door to noisy / very smelly fish and chip shop, very narrow and very steep stairs. Property was ver clean, manager was excellent.

The Golden Galleon fish and chips are a must if you can take the queueing. The bookshop is also wonderful.
Lovely place to go for a late break, nice and quiet out of the tourist season.
Very middle class seaside town, no kiss me quick hats! High street with good independent shops to browse and be tempted by.
Great little town on the Suffolk coast with a couple of good Adnams pubs. Visited the Adnams brewery/distillery in Southwold - worth a visit.
Parking ok out of season but probably best to avoid peak season
