“The location is wonderful, just steps away from the Black Friar's Theater, Mary Baldwin University, and several good restaurants and shops. Just as wonderful is the staff - everyone was welcoming and helpful. We also enjoyed breakfast at the hotel's Magnolia South Restaurant. Service couldn't have been better. The hotel has been located in the heart of Staunton for decades. At the same time we felt enchanted by the architecure, we also noticed that the hotel needs some updates and TLC. However,……

“The deluxe continental breakfast was lacking! It was a "Grab and Go" breakfast when we got there. Not what we expected.”

“Upon checking in, the staff was friendly. Check in at 4pm vs 3pm as other hotels allow was done for us br seemed late for getting freshened up and ready to go out and enjoy the town. Our room, which was a suite, smelled of dog. The sofa, which hosted a pull out bed whch my child was going to sleep on, had stains on it and did not smell good.
