“We went to be in the path of totality for the April 8th eclipse. I didn’t want to leave. The cabin was great and the locale was very quiet. The eclipse almost came to be secondary for the trip because of the resort and its environs. Now I want to plan a Fall foliage stay.”

“Butler House speaks of itself: a house with the amazing management of a great butler - the result of the dedication of the owner, Paul and his wife. Paul was so friendly and though he was always busy at the breakfast room, he always checked if we needed help Our room was spacious, clean and tidy and offered everything we need.The kitchen is big and we enjoyed cooking there. I used their washing machine and dryer and detergent and softener were available. Highly recommended for couples……

“We loved the cleanliness and attention to detail by the chef that created the breakfast spread. He was personable, walked around and made sure tables were cleaned immediately after people left, and ensured that food was refreshed constantly. We thought he was great!”

“Wonderful and affordable place to stay in Stowe. My room was beautiful and very clean! I used the sauna, hot tub and pool and again everytjong was clean and workimg. Will stay here again. ”

“Expected more for the price. Cramped stairs up to room. A/C not working. TV not working, had to rummage around to discover it was unplugged. Door to room jammed. Guest reception staff not that helpful, stressed that main lodge and reception desk would close at 10 pm, emergency-only service available overnight. Just a mediocre experience overall.”

“We have stayed at Stoweflake in April for the past few years. It is becoming a family tradition! We love the accommodations - rooms are quiet, bed are very comfortable, room is spacious for our family of 4. I love the gym and use it daily, and we enjoy racquetball and billiards as a family. Location is easy to access many great dining locations, downtown shopping, and the Recreation path for walks or biking. The resort could use some updates, but it is still a great spot for us.
