Marriott's Kaua'i Beach Club

10/10 Excellent

"This is our second stay at this property and it is as beautiful as I remembered it. We were quite relaxed as soon as we checked in. We were in a studio with a Murphy bed but it wasn’t too bad as we were out most of the day. Our next door neighbors were quite noisy and we alerted the Front Desk and it was remedied quickly by putting up a sound barrier between the connecting doors. We forgot to unplug and take home our Roku stick which did not dawn on us until we returned home. Kudos to Matt in Security who took the time to retrieve it. It is honest and hard working staff like Matt that makes a place worth visiting."

"Our 4 day / 3 night anniversary stay at the Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort was extremely disappointing from start to finish. On our very first morning, we woke up to a flooded hotel room. Our clothes, luggage, and personal belongings were soaked. Instead of immediately helping resolve the issue, the staff gave us a hard time when we requested assistance getting our clothes and luggage dried. We were promised a new room right away, yet it took nearly 8 hours before we were finally moved. This completely ruined the plans we had made for our anniversary day. Sitting around waiting most of the day while dealing with water damage to our belongings is not how anyone expects to spend a vacation in Hawaii. What made the experience even worse was the complete lack of accountability or customer service afterward. No compensation, apology gesture, waived fees, or any attempt to make things right was offered. Then, upon checkout, we were still charged additional resort and parking fees despite everything we had dealt with during our stay. For the price paid and the reputation of this resort, the level of service and response to a major issue like a flooded room was unacceptable. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had, especially for what was supposed to be a special anniversary trip."

"Property is a great place and location, unfortunately they made changes that now include a per day parking charge, which was not published at the time the reservation was made. The parking is not anything spectacular as it is and we have stayed here many times before with no charges for this and really no improvements were noted at this time. Maybe this is not a great deal to many people but when you buy a package with everything paid up front, I expect no surprise charges like this. Shame on you. Also had no water problems a few of the days we were there, not a total inconvenience."
