The standard of cleanliness was disappointing. There was burns on the sofa and bed linen. Every time you opened the bathroom door, the bath panel fell off. The runners on the floor had raised screws, which caught on your feet. We also had our granddaughter visiting and couldn’t let her crawl on the floor in case she got hurt. We would never stay there again.

I booked a suite for one of my business guests but unfortunately, I regret it. You could smell and feel the mould everywhere. The rooms were spacious but not quite warm and although we paid for cleaning service the linen was not changed in 4 days, so did the towels.

Nurriyah, who runs the business, was very easy to deal with and she was very nice to us. She answers my calls and replies to my WhatsApp messages the moment she sees them. If I had a chance to book an apartment or a room in Aberdeen, I will definitely go to her. Thanks.

Innsjekking på overnattingstedet var ikkje holdbart.. det var et alt for innviklet system. Er du ikkje data kyndig og flink i engelsk er det ikkje enkelt å forstå å utføre. Savnet også en oppvaskmaskin. Kopper og kar som var i skapene var ikkje skikkeligt ren vasket.. vil heller hatt en oppvaskmaskin eller den vaskemaskinen som stod der... hadde lite brukt for det for en weekend.

Our first impression was that of the odor of cigarettes, which was strong and offending. When asked about it, the manager said that the last tenant had smoked against policy, but it was my understanding that this was what the extra cleaning cost was for...if any extra cleaning was done, we couldn't tell and we weren't offered any reduction in our cleaning fee as compensation for having to "live" with the smell. I wouldn't have stayed here if I would have known about the smell in advance. Doors were difficult to open and wouldn't stay open, even with the door stops. Furniture was old and falling apart. There was no instruction manual on how to work the washer/dryer. A new coat of paint would definitely make the flat look better and not so dingy. It just "felt" dirty to us.

Utrolig at Expedia ønsker å formidle dette stedet

Jeg har gjennom de siste 20 år bestilt både hotell, fly og leiebil med Expedia og alltid hatt super erfaring med dette, helt til nå. Det begynte allerede før avreise, hvor jeg av husvert ble bedt om å oppgi hele kortnummeret mitt, med cvc nr, fullt navn og adresse for å få innsjekkingsdetaljer. Fikk også terms and conditions, hvor jeg skulle signere på noe langt ifra det som er oppgitt på Expedias side da jeg bestilte stedet. Hun skulle blandt annet ha 500 pund i depositum per leilighet (jeg hadde bestilt 2!) mens hos Expedia sto det at hun KUNNE be om 200 pund i depositum.Jeg kontaktet selvsagt Expedia omgående, og i løpet av 2 arbeidsdager, var jeg på telefonen med dem 2-3 timer, før det endte opp at jeg måtte gi alle mine detaljer over telefon til husvert, men kun 200 pund per leilighet som depositum. Jeg utrykte til Expedia min bekymring ang dette stedet og ønsket omlokasjon, men de kunne intet gjøre. Så til stedet. Leide 2 x 3 soveroms leiligheter.Disse var veldig nedslarvet: hull i alle vegger etter dørhåndtak, løse dørhåndtak, fukt på dører, Vasken på det ene badet var helt tett, noe som ble informert om men ingen respons på. Dette måtte vi sporadisk fikse selv. En nøkkel til hoveddør nede samt dør for hver leilighet som huser 6! Vinduer kunne ikke åpnes, håndtak til et av badene var av og kunne dermed ikke lukkes!!! også informert om men ikke respons.

8 bad and 1 good point. Disappointing

1.Getting the keys was a whole other level of faff 2. Needed to send photo of credit card and passport before I got the keys. 3. Hall at bottom of stairs was pitch black. 4. Sky tv only had 4 working channels which reminded me of the 1980s which was nice 5. Living room “curtain” yes one was too short and only covered half the window. 6. Fridge was broken and by the smell It had been broken for some time. 7. Shower was held on the wall by a mixture of hair ties and toilet paper. 8. Bedside lamp had no plug socket close enough to use. 9. Bed was comfy.

We were not admitted access to the apartment that we had payed for long time before we had this trip unless we send photos of our passports, photo of the cvc number on the back of our credit card and send text message with the hole credit card number with the home address of the card holder. We did not do that but instead we went to the police and reported this. They said we should never give these information through the internet as we did know. We had to book into another place. Note that pictures Adelphi Suites had for you to see on Expedia web side are taken from houses in the neighborhood and no picture of the Adelphi Suites house. I do not know if they have real photos from inside because I did not went inside the house. The street is leading to Market street and it full with trash bins. I am going to try to put in pictures so you can see. We have several times stayed in apartments downtown Aberdeen and always had the luck with us before. I did try to send message to Expedia to tell them our situation we had when we arrived and all we got from them was never to send credit card numbers in message. I will never book through Expedia again.

Awful service at check in

I was really unhappy with the self check in service. It involved a random number on WhatsApp contacting me and asking for a picture of my bank card, including the numbers on the back, and my drivers license. I think using whatsapp was the most unprofessional way of dealing with a check in, not to mention the terrible spelling making me even more dubious as to whether I was being scammed. I think an email from a legit domain name would make people feel a lot more secure in handing their details over. I would think twice about booking this place if you don't want to send your full credit card details in a picture message on WhatsApp!

Had a great time - perfect location

Had a great stay at Adelphi Suites, the location may be hard to find for some but we found it really quickly thanks to the owner. She was very helpful and provide great communication throughout our stay. The flats are in the perfect spot and near to all the shops, shopping centres, restaurants, etc. The bedrooms in the flat were gorgeous and we really enjoyed our stay... it provided everything we needed, cutlery, iron, etc. Really enjoyed our weekend away!! Would definitely return :) thanks so much x
