“We stay at bnbs almost exclusively. This was one of our favorite stays. I have no idea why this place has any negative reviews. The pics are there for all to see. It is a small cottage with an attached bathroom. There is plenty of space for a single or couple. It is located in a peaceful settings along the trolley route. We enjoyed this stay so much we would love a repeat stay. I wish we had planned to stay longer. ”

“Very nice property, we made good use of the dock and were able to launch my 18.5 ft boat from the concrete ramp. Fishing, crabbing, boating were good (though crabs a bit on small side) the cottage was clean, well organized and neat. Everything was really nice and Genevieve was extremely responsive and pleasant to deal with.”

“The Salty Sailor was an excellent, affordable, and pet friendly rental. Nice location on ridge rd next to Mr Baldys which is a must to try if you stay here. The rooms are a bit older but maintained well. I didn’t experience any of the conditions that were listed in the other reviews here. We would certainly stay here again.”

“A nice house with a great location, easy to get to everything on the island. Having a playground across the street was extremely helpful with two small kids. Only critique was that the twin mattress were slippery enough that my kids fell out of bed. They are both on twin beds at home and we were suprised that was an issue. Other than that great!”

“The house was cute and in a great location. However, it was dirty and the communication with the company that manages it was lacking. The bathrooms and kitchen were clean but there were ants upon arrival. The floors were extremely dirty. As you walk up the stairs, you can see other people's hair all over, cob webs and the floors in the bedrooms were dirty. “Where is the 10 stars option?? This property was so unique and unlike your typical cottage. The pool was clean and refreshing and the live music poolside was the icing on the cake. My three kids, my husband and I and two dogs fit comfortably in one floating cottage. This place is phenomenal. I’m already thinking of when we can go again!”
