The location is very peaceful and everything we needed for our over night stay was in walking distance. The staff was were friendly and spoke English fluently. 「The lake view of the hotel is the best I ever see. It takes a few minutes walking to the lake and the beautiful park. The location is convenient to bus and train station, hiking trails and restaurants. 」

「It is too small a place. Stated it is good for 3 people but it is not. Parking of course is a problem everywhere in Norway, can’t fault the apartment for that.」

「In summary one of the poorest hotel quality I can get for the last 10 years. We booked the deluxe twin bed room for 3 nights in Bergen. Whilst it says deluxe it’s actually two tiny beds which is surely not a standard single bed. We picked the hotel due to its location but actually there are plenty of better choices. First of all we took over 20 hours to get to Bergen and desperate for a good rest. We were woke up by heavy rock music at 2am in the morning. Then the music lasted till around 4 am...

「I booked this stay last minute and immediately tried to cancel it but Bergen Guesthouse does not accept cancellations. The property is close to the city center, inexpensive and newly - in progress - renovated. However, the walls are paper thin, the rooms lack comfort (our window didn’t close properly, only a ceiling light, no bedside lights, the power outlets didn’t work properly, no TV, no mirror). One full bath and one out of order bathroom to share between 4 rooms on the level we stayed....

「We were assigned an accessible room during our stay. While the bathroom was quite spacious, it was highly inconvenient as there was nowhere to hang clothes, and the sink was extremely narrow. Additionally, there were some issues with the lighting; the room was poorly lit, and the spherical lamp next to the bed kept flickering. On the positive side, the room offered a very open and lovely view, and the bed was remarkably comfortable. The breakfast selection was also extensive and of good quality.」
