A beautiful property, with a fabulous restaurant attached. The hosts were excellent-really dedicated to the comfort and enjoyment of the guests. Lots of lovely, thoughtful details, including fresh milk!

Great place to stay

The staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was extremely comfortable with a large, very comfortable bed. The bathroom was huge and amazing, double sinks, huge shower and a bath, very modern. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel and we were very happy with our stay there.

Must stay!

Third time I have stayed here and had the exact same fabulous experience. The rooms are fabulous, the views are stunning and the food is exceptional. Breakfast and dinner are incredible. The staff are amazing.

The room and view were very nice, lots of room and comfortable bed, the pillows could and should have been of a much higher quality. The lighting in the bathroom was under par and not good enough for the cost. Not enough clear lightening for applying make up or having a shave, no magnified mirror in bathroom and poor lighting. the restaurant food we had was very good and reasonable in price. No complimentary slippers which was disappointing

WOW, Just WOW!!!!!!!

This was our first visit to The View and it certainly won't be our last, we are already looking to plan another stay. The whole location was amazing, from the accommodation to the staff. The accommodation was so peaceful and so very tastefully decorated The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here

A Jewel in the crown

This is a jewel in the crown place to stay. Exceptionally peaceful, yet within short drives or walks you can be in key parts of the peaks including Matlock , Bakewell, Chatsworth etc & then like towns like Clay Cross etc. Rooms was huge and beautifully appointed. Food breakfast and meals if you eat lunch or evening there was excellent and the staff attentive, courteous and very helpful.

Wonderful one night stay

We absolutely loved our stay at The White Horse, our room was superb, so spacious, furnished and decorated to the highest standard. We were fortunate with the weather and were able to relax on the balcony and enjoy the view across the surrounding countryside. It was our wedding anniversary the night we stayed and dinner was fantastic, the food was very tasty, beautifully presented and served. The next morning, we had a delicious freshly cooked breakfast. All the staff we met were very friendly, attentive and welcoming. We would thoroughly recommend The View at The White Horse and look forward to returning.
