“We arrived very late after a long drive but the key had been left in a safe place for us to retrieve. Cindy came the next day but we don't speak French and Cindy didn't speak English and communication was via the translate app on the phone - some of the details / instructions were very difficult to follow. “The balcony off the kitchen was a lovely place to eat breakfast and other meals. We appreciated the beautiful scented blossom off the tree by the pool that perfumed the lounge area. Plenty of seating area in both sun and shade around the pool. Lots of space and bright sunny rooms which could be kept cool using the shutters. The chateau at La Rochefoucauld was worth a visit and we had a good meal at Au Moulin du Chateau there.”
