"The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean. The flooring has been replaced recently. The wall are rather thin and we could hear everything that was being talked about in the adjoining rooms and outside. Luckily, the other guests weren’t up too late as to keep us awake. "

"The lodge is a beautiful property. The people all seemed very friendly and helpful. We had a couple of issues. Our room was apparently directly below the bar, and the noise of voices and furniture moving was so loud we could hardly talk together. I don't suppose there's anything to be done about it, and it did end by 11 pm, somewhat past the bedtime of old folks like us. The other problem is squeaky door hinges. The door of the room next door was so loud that even my mostly deaf husband asked...

"Great family trip! Riverside was a cute and comfortable little inn. The staff was great and we loved our room. We had a balcony which had a great view of the river. So peaceful. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants. I’m heartbroken for this community. So sad this little gem is gone. When they get up and running again we will definitely be back. One of my favorite towns in NC. "
