"The grounds are beautiful, the staff are great! We had breakfast which tasted good! The spa was relaxing but there is a bit of wear and tear in places. Overall it was a lovely night away - one thing to highlight: the bed and pillows are very soft, we usually sleep on a firm mattress and have fun pillows so we don’t sleep well and woke up a bit achey; but this is very subjective. Also the hairdryer in the room was really weak so being your own if visiting or use the ones in the spa’s changing room. "

"Was a great old cottage with lots of character, however does have low ceilings downstairs and a very low hallway upstairs. The property was on a farm which was great for our 2 year old to look at all the animals and to walk around."

"Owners were nice, helpful and friendly. They cooked a very good poached egg. Room was spacious with own private bathroom. Was cold when we arrived but was able to sort heating and it heated up quickly. One little problem, the toilet seat was broken."

"An excellent location for our family stay. Very well appointed, cosy and plenty to do. The tennis court was a hit as was the hot tub. The kitchen is very well equipped."

"The owner was completely u responsive to my messages, leaving us with no accommodation on Christmas Eve. When I eventually tracked her down by showing up at the property in person, she claimed to have no knowledge of the reservation despite having confirmed the booking and the amount being paid in full. I felt she was being dishonest and took zero responsibility for her failure to respond to attempts to reach her via messaging, text or email. I cannot emphasize how disruptive and inconvenient it was to be ghosted by the host on the day of arrival. "
