Easter bank holiday stay

The house has been refurbished and is in excellent condition. New kitchen and bathroom with plenty of hot water, comfy beds and plenty of wardrobe space. Only slight issue was, my mum in law is in her 80s and a stair rail would of helped her.

The house wasn't the cleanest, possibly lots of decorating dust everywhere. Needed a thorough clean. White venetian blinds throughout, was very bright at night in the bedrooms. The bathroom is downstairs, wouldn't have booked if known. No stair rail which made it unsafe for my elderly mum. The garden was overgrown & getting in through the front gate was unpleasant as got caught in brambles. This was partially sorted whilst there. The entrance to the property is on Norham Road NOT Rowlington Terrace. No mattress or pillow protectors. No info for bins, heating, appliances or baking trays. Just small bits & it would be a top place to stay.

Clean and comfortable. We had a 3 night stay.Unfortunately on our last day in the morning, the outside drain blocked, the bathroom flooded and we were unable to use the toilet all day. We waited till 4pm when finally the plumber came. The help-line lady was very polite and nice but only informed us about 3pm that we could have left the keys in the key safe for the plumber at our own responsibility. We emailed "Stay with us" privately on return on 20th August to complain and asked for compensation given that we lost a day of our holiday. It is now 28th August and we are still awaiting a responsefrom them! The staircase was very steep and had no handrail and there was no bath mat or anti-slip surface . The garden was a mess with brambles and weeds everywhere. No outside furniture at all. Both the handrail and garden issue had already been mentioned by another reviewer a few months ago but obviously nothing had been done. Therefore we would not recommend this property.
