「This hotel is on a lovely property and from the outside, looks like a grand historical hotel. The interior decor is not in alignment with the building and the rooms are tired. Breakfast was just okay. I would stay again if there were no other options and be okay, but the cost would be hard to take considering the experience. This could be an amazing hotel, it needs some TLC to get there.」

「The cottage looks nice in photos and they do keep it as clean as they can; however, it is very rundown. We were bothered by the strong smell of fabric softener (gives us migraines) and mildew. The beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom narrow and dark, and overall, we just had “the creeps” the whole time. So much so that we left early. Honestly, we expected more for the price. You can find better options in the area for what we paid.」

「Perfect stay for a quick weekend. Location is perfect so we could walk to everything but loved how it was tucked into the backyard so our bonfires were private.」

「We paid for two nights but left early the second day. Just for clarity, this is probably a 1970’s single wide trailer with a window unit. I was expecting a house on the beach. The 100 feet of beach is across the street with private beach signs on both sides blocking you from exploring. You get what you pay for. I should have read other reviews before booking.」

「Everything was perfect! Very clean, beautiful apartment, with a nice bathroom and kitchen- everything we were hoping for!」

「This is a great location if you want to check out the lake superior Lakeshore, as well as Bayfield and Madeleine Island. Everything is very conveniently located you can walk to most places in Ashland right from the place. The apartment is pretty basic with kitchen items, but enough to do what you need to do. Very comfortable bad and very quiet.」
