Our room was not in the main building and was dated and smelled damp. The blinds were removed on the west window and the sun heated the room up tremendously. With no air conditioning or a fan, it was uncomfortable. The main building was lovely but the others need a remodel to match.

My wife and I spent 3 nights recently, couldn't fault anything, would go there again definitely. Pricewise it was very comparable to other places that didn't have the same standards. Well done Western House.

The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The booking profile is very misleading. It only shows the main building, which is an attractive and classy building. I expected to be staying there. However, the hotel rooms are in 2 blocks of very poor quality and unappealing decor which I wouldn't even consider to be up to the quality of a Travelodge. The rooms were basic with stained carpet, although the bed was comfortable. My daughters were staying in a different hotel in the centre of Ayr which was absolutely beautiful and much cheaper than the Western, which I feel is overpriced for what it is.

Stayed over a busy weekend of Horse Racing, with Ayr Racecourse directly accessible. Stayed within the hotel, as opposed to the courtyard. Big room, bug bathroom, had a substantial breakfast and chose to dine on the Friday night. Found the dining experience to be excellent. Staff are top notch too, very friendly with nothing too much trouble for the team. Top marks

The location was excellent. The outside of the building within the rooms in it seemed a bit rundown, but the actual rooms were newly updated and very clean and spacious. There were lovely towels and a robe and slippers. The bed was very comfortable. There was a kettle with coffee and tea and shortbread cookies at the bedside. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, I was very impressed and highly recommend this hotel.

A fuir , chambre infestée de mites !

Nous avons trouvé des mites dans notre chambre. Nous l'avons signalé et malgré la désinsectisation de la chambre nous avons retrouvé une mite dans notre valise à notre retour. L'état général de la chambre et de l'hôtel sont bons l'accueil est mitigé car nous avons trouvé la personne qui s'est occupé de notre problème de mites très froide et peu empathique. Je trouve intolérable pour un hôtel 4 étoiles de laisser une douzaine de minutes dans une chambre . Ma femme possède des vêtements de valeur et ne souhaite pas retrouver de trous dans ses vêtements. Nous ne recommandons pas cet hôtel.
