"YHA Grasmere is a massive, well-maintained property with a really great team of staff. The kitchen and dining areas are huge and spotless, and having plenty of showers on every floor means you never have to wait around. The rooms, showers, and toilets were all kept very clean. "Nice hotel. Great seating outside on the lake and in conservatory- would be better if more seating in conservatory. Pub/bar area itself is very dark and dingy. Seats outside the bar area were nice but not enough - some of the drinks were dear -£16 for a large wine! Food in brasserie was nice and staff nice too. Parking free at the hotel and very close to the lake boats snd train. Lovely place near the lake and would stay there again if in area."
