“What a wonderful place to stay. Communication was great..”

“The property was clean upon arrival. It was nicely decorated and cozy. We visited during July 4th, which happened to be the hottest week of the summer so far. The issue I have with the property is that the listing failed to mention the home did not have air conditioning. I only discovered this after I made the reservation and received a confirmation email. At that point, my money was non-refundable. Despite having ceiling fans, the bedrooms reached a temperature of 84 degrees at night.……

“Unit on 2nd floor with outdoor stairs which should have been in description. Inside was very clean, only objection was noisy window unit a/c blowing directly onto bed. Outside unit was biggest objection - there was no outside deck, entrance off King Street was between two buildings and extremely narrow with water filled large pothole, into an interior type alley with over flowing trash receptacles, cars from adjoining apartment parked too close to our vehicle making it extremely difficult to……

“This was a cute little rental that was as described. Very clean and comfortable. The staff were accommodating and very responsive. I was impressed to learn it’s been in service for over 20 years. Loved the clubhouse and general atmosphere— reminded me of family vacations as a child in the 1990s… so quaint!! Reception and WiFi is not terrific so it was a great opportunity to play games as a family and take to the outdoors. We plan to return next year. Thank you!!!”

“The host was wonderful...made sure everything was set for the stay. The location was very convenient for the horse show and in a lovely, secluded spot. Quiet and serene. The bed was very comfortable. There were some issues with the unit which I passed along to the host. Because of the wooded locale, there is a prevalent musty smell which did not dissipate. Imo, the place seems a bit tired.”

“What I’m writing is not the fault of the property—they don’t control the weather—but just information for future travelers so they can plan better than we did.This is really more of a winter resort. We stayed in the summer during an unprecedented heat wave. There was one tiny window AC unit and a big ceiling fan. Both worked great but not sufficient for the space. No prob, we thought we’ll open windows at night when it cools off…except there’s no window upstairs where it’s hot. Just a patio door……

“Overall this is a nice place. Very clean! Parking was tight, walls were thin, I could hear the neighbor upstairs coughing/walking. The bed made noise every time I turned. Don’t expect your bed/mattress from home. The fire place was beautiful and it was def a warm place to sleep. Make sure to bring money to tip the house keeper/maintenance guy(if needed). Also bring trash bag if you plan on eating anything inside the cabin. The only trash can was the small one in the bathroom. If you are looking……
