Loved: The views from the home, the size of the home and yard to play in snow, the game room, the double thermostats for the second and third levels, the size of the beds, deer that we saw in the back yard, the distance to skiing, the decor, and amount of kitchen supplies.
Concerns: Upon arrival the doors and windows were all unlocked which was a little unsettling, but my husband went in and made sure it was clear before we all went in.
Inconvenience: There was no mention of the hours for the local dump to take trash so when we went on Wednesday it was closed and we had to drive all the way to Boone so we didn't have trash in the back of our SUV all day. (Google didn't even show correct hours for the dump on Sugar Mountain).
Cleanliness: There were cans and cigarette butts on the balcony when we arrived, grease in the bottom of the oven, confetti all under the sofa, dust and what appeared to be dog hair in some parts of the home (maybe someone brought a service dog in the past, who knows.), comforters didn't appear to be washed, however, I always bring our own blankets and sheets so that wasn't too big of a deal, but may be for someone else who has to use the provided blankets, and the dishwasher was piled with wet dishes and some dishes didn't even appear washed.
Minor complaints: There aren't any blinds on the bedroom windows and the sun shines right in so not nice for someone who might want to sleep in on vacation, refrigerator will freeze your food even at a lower temp, and the game room area is always freezing.
Overall, the home was great and would definitely recommend. It was already mentioned in the listing, but please be sure to have a 4WD vehicle because the driveway is very steep.
