"Wonderful hotel. Fresh tasty buffet breakfast - not a thing to complain about there except if you were staying for more than 3/4 nights it may be nice to have a little more variety. For me yogurt fruit cheese and bottomless coffee was perfect! Lovely friendly staff who give the best service and advice. Rooms could be slightly updated with chips and scrapes in furnishings, but had a nice the rustic feel. It would be really nice if the rooms had fridges and kettle. Overall a brilliant stay! "

"We went through the online check in process and got annoyed once as it didn't save my progress when the kid grabbed my phone and minimized the app. It did make access smooth but wasn't necessary as there was staff at the front desk when we arrived (we weren't sure we would be in time for that). Really convenient grocery store around the corner and plenty of free parking but off season the restaurants were all closed most of the time (not really our thing to eat out but thought I'd mention it because we saw people wandering looking for food). We walked to the fort after driving to the lighthouse the day before and seeing how it was on the way. Awesome nature preserve accessed by going through the fort with a wonderful walk and views."
