"Excellent find close to the centre of Alnwick. Fabulous welcome from David & Bev who were fabulous. Gave us great recommendations for places to eat & even booked a table for us. One of the best breakfasts we’ve had for ages…the eggy bread was heavenly. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re up in the North East."

"A great location with easy access to Northumbrian Coast and great places to eat in Alnwick. Friendly staff and the room was nice and warm. However, room was dated and not as clean as you would normally expect."

"Nice large room, and quiet, although alongside A1. Bed and pillows a little too firm for my liking, and was woken at 1 am by a very noisy group of women thumping and talking loudly down the corridor - not comfortable enough to go back k to sleep again, but the noise was not the fault of the hotel. Generally a good place to stay, nice food and a decent breakfast."

"Great, friendly staff and easy to park and the room was a good size for a single. Only marked as 3/5 as room was above the kitchen extractor fans which were only turned off between 9.30 - 6.00. So if you book as a single remember the earplugs! Would happily return but maybe check booking to ensure it’s not that end of the hotel. Gluten free options well catered for at breakfast but evening options are limited."

"Entrance to car park is very narrow if you have a big car. Front door closed at 10pm so would have to access from rear of property up steep stairs to fire exit and enter with fob. We were back by 9:45pm and we could not buy a drink as last orders had been called 🙁. But clean, comfortable room and central so would stay again for price."

"Nice surprise as got croissants juice and biscuits in room. Room was adequate as above the bar. Nice friendly staff willing to help. Room could have been decorated to a better standard. "

"Location is great with lots of free parking options nearby including EV chargers. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean and warm. On the downside was the fact that our room was just above the pub and on Saturday night was very loud until midnight and we couldn’t sleep. So make sure to ask for a room on higher floor. Regarding the breakfast one day we had the eggs Benedict which were not good as the hollandaise sauce was too watery, scrambled and bland. The 2nd day we had the English breakfast which was very good and I would definitely recommend it. The breakfast continental buffet could have more fruit options (only apple and oranges were available) and should be refilled regularly which wasn’t the case."
