“The stay in this quirky pub, all shabby chic was good for the price in London. The staff via the quirky pub were lovely, so accommodating when asking for extra milk & tea bags for the room. I did make the .mistake of not realizing there were shared toilets & shower/bath facilities with other rooms which I would not have originally chosen on booking. The room was generally ok. There were drafts coming from the windows however, we had to ask for more towels, the cups for tea definitely needed to……

“The property is quaint/unusual. Not easily seen from the road if arriving in the dark. Provisions given in the room and the landing were excellent and fabulous location for Stansted airport. However, on opening the front door noted that the hall carpet was slightly worn and the room allocated had a shower in the room rather than the bathroom. Otherwise very comfortable stay and would book again, but request a room with a definite bathroom.”

“First of the descriptions of the place was very difficult to locate and I don't get it why they added photos of an university campus and the direction of address wasn't accurate. Then it stated free parking spot in the area, but I just received a parking ticket of £60 on same place with a photo of where I parked my rental car during my stay. I could have stayed at a hotel with parking spot and pay less. Maybe other customers will be okay with place, but I had a terrible experience and it's……

“Lovely place to stay, basically a guest room in a shared house though. Quiet hours meant no late showers which was hard when our days were planned ahead of time. Host was sweet and the room was nice, just felt like a lot of rules that would’ve been helpful ahead of time. The small town is so fun, loved walking around the stores and trying all the local restaurants - they close early so plan for that!”

Excellent hotel with a great vibe. There’s a free boat ride, and the staff’s attitude is 10/10 — everyone is ready to help, which feels very warm and friendly. Some rooms have been renovated and are spacious. There’s a convenience store right outside the door, which is very convenient, and there’s also a bus stop and a park nearby. It’s quiet, yet easy to get around. I would choose this hotel again."
