Bass lake waterfront! Cozy 1 bedroom cottage minutes from Traverse City!

"You know it’s a great stay when you’re sad to leave! Our anniversary trip at this cozy cottage was fantastic. Jody is a warm, caring host and very quick to respond to any questions. We appreciated the attention to detail in the cottage — little things that can make a VRBO feel like home, like Kleenex, extra dish towels and wash cloths, paper towel, full kitchen & anything you might need to cook, warm lighting for evenings, comfortable furniture, outdoor seating options, a grill, coffee pot and Keurig along with some coffee pods (my love language ), and comfy blankets throughout the cottage. Plus the entire cottage was extremely clean!We also enjoyed the fire pit, kayaks, and beautiful lake view. I loved having my coffee and quiet time out on the back porch each morning. It was also great being only about 15 min from Traverse City. We will definitely be back & recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway."

"I can go on and on.This is an amazing restorative spot. Perfect for a solo trip, which is how I traveled, or just with a buddy.The owners are incredibly nice, responsive, and helpful.Laundry room is provided, a nice downstairs shower (I didn’t use the upstairs), Everything is tidy and well kept. Driving into Traverse, Glen Arbor, Sleeping Bear, the Leelanau, was all very easy. Will absolutely return."

"We had a great stay at this property. The setting was so relaxing that we had a hard time leaving it to go sightseeing around the area. Our only inconvenience was the lack of washer/dryer in the house, but we found a local laundry (Eastfield Laundry) where you can wash your own laundry or have it done for you and ready for pick up in a few hours. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!"

"This home is in a quiet neighborhood on a culdesac. It is very clean and layed out nicely to gather in the kitchen and dinning area.We had both units so we had plenty of space. It might be a little awkward for some people if you only had one of the units as you are in the same house with separate entrances and a shared laundry room. The VRBO details suggest a lake view from the front porch…. You can see the lake through the houses that are across the culdesac but I would not consider it a lake view. We ate at Oakys as suggested in the details and yes they do have great wings!! The food was very good!!Both units are awesome!! We would definitely stay here again!"

"The home is as described and located on Bass Lake. The home was clean and located close to local shops for quick runs for necessities. The use of kayaks, paddle boat and lifejackets was amazing on the lake. We rented a pontoon boat which was easily done via public access 2 minutes away. The dock was equipped for the docking of the pontoon boat which was great. This home has all the amenities of home with extras such as many spices for cooking as well as cooking supplies. Has a cute loaded coffee/tea bar. There’s a crockpot available if needed. We had a large group so I had brought my own cooking supplies and necessities but was not necessarily needed. All the room are spacious and well decorated. They do have a high chair, pack and play, games and some activities for kids in the house. In all I was pleasantly surprised with our stay and would recommend this for a quiet serene getaway with loved ones or friends."

"Dream vacation! Especially for ones with toddlers and a dog. The kids loved the stocked toys , puzzles, pool, and kayaks! Mommy loved the stocked dishwasher pods and washing machine detergent, paper towel, bath towels and pool towels! I always have to pack so much when taking the family anywhere and for the first time I felt like I did not need to bring anything but my families clothes and our dogs food.Loved the gated area for our dog, did not have to worry about her wondering! Also LETS TALK ABOUT THE BEDS! I have never slept in a more comfortable bed outside of my own. If you are OCD like me and pack for every possible situation let me just say book this place, they have already thought of it and you will not need to worry!!"
