“We had a very enjoyable stay at Strattons Hotel. The hotel was one of six I believe. We were just over the road from reception and where the restaurant is located. Very clean room which wasn’t as big as I was expecting but more than adequate for myself and my husband. I arranged for a bottle of Prosecco to be in the room for when we arrived, this was done along with a birthday card - lovely touch. Breakfast was brilliant. Quality meat we got to enjoy breakfast outside twice as the weather was……

“Cannot fault this property at all, the hosts are so welcoming and love that you get a tour around the facilities. We booked the spa for my partners birthday and it is a little slice of heaven! Then we played a few games of pool in the bar/lounge area before heading to our room. The area is great, permit parking super easy outside the property, and great recommendation for breakfast the following day (Farm Kitchen). “We stayed at the Ropemaker for five nights and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and its restaurant. We had a lovely king-size bed that was very comfortable. The room had a portable air conditioning unit that kept it very cool, which we appreciated. However, it is noisy at night. The outdoor bar area is super cute and has little cabanas that seat about 4 guests. We'll definitely stay here again.”

“Gorgeous hotel with lovely, polite & enthusiastic staff! We were upgraded to a fabulous suite & the parking options were great. We loved this unique boutique hotel which has been decorated & designed with care & passion. Local transport was brilliant & Southsea is a hidden blossoming gem which we’ll be back to see next year!
