The room was rather warm, even after I'd turned the radiator off and opened the window slightly, but it wasn't unbearable. My bed was comfortable and I slept well each night. It's just a pity there are no usable / regular UK plug sockets near the bed. There's soap, shower gel and moisturiser in the bathroom but no shampoo (which was surprising) or conditioner. The shower head is inconveniently angled (and can't be moved) so you either step into cold water or risk getting the floor wet whilst the water is warming up! Plenty of tea, coffee, milk and sachets of hot chocolate. Also lots of storage - far too many hotel rooms don't have any drawers. Breakfast was good; maybe some fresh bananas or apples would have been good but there's some, presumably tinned, fruits, small pots of yoghurt, mini muffins and different breads, including GF options if you're happy to wait. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked and there's a good array of hot choices. There are some free parking spaces but you may need to get there early if there's an event on (the Trafalgar Dinner was an excellent evening and I hope to come back again). It's a 5 minute walk to the Historic Dockyard and 10 mins to Gunwharf Quays outlet shopping centre, so it was very conveniently located. There is a pool, but I was too busy to actually use it. All the staff I spoke to were very helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
