"We had a really great experience staying at the Ski Haus for our ski vacation. The host was very responsive and helpful before & during our stay. We were welcomed with a lovely gift basket filled with thoughtful snacks and treats. The home is well stocked with amenities for our stay: kitchen, pantry, condiments, cooking spices, bathroom soap, lotion, shampoo, & conditioners, hairdryers, towels for the hot tub, TVs in most the rooms. Wow! Very thoughtful to make the stay comfortable and easy like our own home. TVs, books, games, with plenty of entertainment for all to enjoy. The hot tub was sparkling clean at ready for enjoyment upon our arrival. All the rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. The home is tastily decorated in a country ski cabin theme. The property manager was very helpful, responsive and attentive to a few minor things that required attention. We will definitely look to stay here again! "

"Would not stay here again. We stayed here for 7 days and were disappointed. Winter access to the home is more difficult than the listing suggested. While the listing does mention 4WD, snow tires, it does not adequately convey how extreme the road is. The road is very steep, narrow, and full of tight hairpin turns. During a storm, access became dependent on plowing, and we had to go into town and have chains installed on our vehicle just to get back to the property. Without plowing, the house was effectively very difficult to access. The property manager was not proactive or helpful when access to the property during the storm became an issue. We asked ahead of the storm about plowing and when the road would be accessible, but did not hear back from them despite calling and messaging on the VRBO app. As conditions worsened, we again reached out because we were concerned about safely getting back to the house, and no practical solution was offered. We were ultimately told they had no plow schedule and no relationship with the plow providers. They provided no additional support or follow up.We also reached out to the property manager by phone twice and via the app when we found a water leak on arrival, and it took 18 hours before anyone followed up. The property is labeled on VRBO as ski-in/ski-out. It is not ski in/ski off for Big Sky Resort. There is a backcountry ski trail into avalanche terrain behind the house only. This is a tiny house, little space for skis. "

"This was a fantastic property, especially for our group of 9. The lodge access 2 doors down was a pleasant surprise. We definitely give this property a 10 out of 10 and will book again for next year!Only one small suggestion: Make sure the cleaning crew uses fabric softener on the sheets. The low moisture content in the air at that altitude caused a "lightning show" at night from the static in the sheets."

"This gorgeous home with tremendous views easily fits two families. The home is well appointed, clean and quiet. The setting has easy access to a large number of winter activities -- alpine and nordic skiing, snowshoe trail, backcountry skiing (for those with avalanche preparedness), and even a small ice skating rink in town. There are two grocery store options in Big Sky so no need to overstock in Bozeman/Belgrade, and the kitchen is of ample size and well supplied for the cook. Highly recommend! Heads Up that you pay attention to the need for FOUR WHEEL DRIVE DURING WINTER MONTHS. "
