lovely clean warm room with large bathroom. Well provisioned with water ,teas and coffees. Very attentive staff who made sure we were fed and watered. We have now used the Black bull twice for stay overs and cant fault it. Easy parking, great bar and tasty ,quality food.

Rooms are well furnished with good quality furniture. Staff were friendly and very pleasant to talk to. Overall the establishment is a 5 star rating with excellent good quality meals both in the morning and at night. Ideal location for getting about the area and would highly recommend this venue.

Fantastic birthday break - can't wait to return

A lovely 2 night stay in a country village inn with plenty of parking. We loved the location, our room was clean with a comfy bed, the staff were welcoming and friendly and the food was of good quality. Great for exploring the Northumberland coast, particularly Lindisfarne, Berwick Upon Tweed and Bamburgh Castle - all close by.

Very comfortable inn with rooms. Room was very nice and food in restaurant had good choice, was tasty and offered lots of gluten free choices.

Quiet location but only 20 mins to Berwick upon Tweed with Holy Island, Bamburgh and Alnwick within easy reach. Bedroom was huge with a comfy bed. Staff were pleasant. Good choice for breakfast and their evening meals were excellent. Restaurant gets very busy so its advisable to book a table.

Set in a quiet village but only a few miles from the A1 so makes a perfect base for exploring Northumberland,. Friendly staff lovely rooms and really nice food , the breakfast especially so good , would recommend to anyone .

Very good hotel.

We really enjoyed our two nights in this recently refurbished hotel. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was first class. Great breakfasts and a very good, popular restaurant.
