"Lovely, well equipped, cosy little apartment ideally located for activities on Loch Ness and beautiful walks in a variety of terrain and easy reach of Fort Augustus and Inverness, some right from the doorstep. Lots of nice welcoming touches and the owners responded quickly to request for information. Good shower over the deep bath but it’s a bit slippery and a couple of grab rails and a non slip mat would improve safety for those with mobility issues wanting to immerse themselves in a soothing...

The Hen House

"The Hen House was lovely! It really was pretty, comfortable and finished to an incredibly high standard. The estate is beautiful and we happened to stay during a midsummer fair, which was fantastic. The hot tub was in dire need of a deep chemical clean. The tubes connected to the fire were leaking bits of dirt. Also the check out time being 10am is quite early when it is self catering and you’ll also need to pack a car. Overall I would highly reccomend a stay here. "

"Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room. Comfortable beds. Excellent location downtown. We walked to everything downtown we wanted to see!!!"

"The room was clean. The majority of the staff was very helpful and attentive. We had a couple of minor inconveniences, such as the room was not prepared when we arrived. We had requested 2 beds and it was made with one. We had to request twice for it to be made up properly before it was done. (The housekeeping staff was very apologetic.) For the cost, more than $550/night, the view out the large lovely window was of the parking lot. :( And we had hoped for a historic hotel as that is what we searched for, and the main hotel was lovely and historic, but we were housed out in the newer spa building across the parking lot. Nice and clean, but not historic. Also, it’s a bit of a walk to the city center. About 20-25 minutes walk."

Craigmonie Hotel Inverness by Compass Hospitality

"We enjoyed our stay, but there were a few things that could have been better. The hotel did not have laundry service or laundry facilities. No A/C and the bathroom was very small. There were not enough places to hang towels and robes, no counter space (just the sink basin), and nowhere to put shower items, so we had to put them on the floor. There were plenty of electrical outlets, though. It was close to town, about a 20-minute walk, which was ok except when it was raining. The bus stop is a few minutes away but the bus only comes once an hour. Overall, we had a really nice stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful."

Tulloch Castle Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Great castle stay. You can wander around the property and get a look at the other rooms of the castle. Free easy on-site parking. Staff was great. Little pub in the basement with walk-out garden seating to have a beverage. As with it being an old castle, it has and old charm and fun to explore. Bummed the ghost story person was t=not there for our stay - would have loved to hear. Recommended. Only potential issue, there is no lift and 3 floors potentially. Would stay again. Had breakfast here, was the only thing that was unremarkable."
