Loving downtown

We came for a family wedding and on our downtime, we loved walking the streets, looking in shops and the river front. Lot's of room for 4 of us and really enjoyed our stay.

Very nice apartment with plenty of space centrally located. Would stay there again. The only down side would be if you have mobility issues, it is on the 3 rd floor - no elevator. For us it was good we were able to burn a few croissants calories from the local Paul boulangerie 🙂

This modern apartment is located in the heart of the city, but the street itself is peaceful and quiet. You do hear the metro as the line runs through the street, but the sound is routine and soothing. Being on the top floor, the apartment is spacious and bright, which made our stay very pleasant. The building is very quiet. We hardly heard any noise from the neighbors, if there were any, during our four-day stay. We walked everywhere from the apartment, nice restaurants, supermarkets, antique market, and of course the metro station. We didn't realize that toiletries were not provided, but as the supermarket was just a 5-minute walk away, it wasn't an issue. We would stay here again if we had the opportunity.

Stairs!

While clean, spacious and comfortable, and very close to all amenities including public transportation, the apartment has 70 steps up to get to it. If you have lots of energy and no health issues, then this will not be a problem. However, this is 70 steps while carrying whatever luggage you may have with you. And then up and down those same steps whenever you decide to go out! And if you have any orthopedic issues…. Ughh!

Excellent location, beautiful apartment

Three of us stayed for the weekend for a friends 50th birthday. The location was perfect for us, close to the river and some key sights. Some of the utensils in the kitchen were a bit dated but all serviceable. Be prepared for steps as the apartment is on the third floor. Good for working off the cheese and wine, not so great if you have mobility issues.

Rugby World Cup Tour

Was a very nice place. Very little communication from manager. I had to communicate through VRBO a few times but even 24 hours before check in, no info on contacting anyone. After leaving a few messages, someone did get back to me as I was on a train headed to the city. The lady would let me in also lived in the building and cleaned the room and gave us the key. The place was perfect. Loved every bit of it. My only complaint was the limited info given to meet someone there and be let in.

Great apartment in great location but some details keep it below 5 stars

This is a lovely apartment - tall ceilings, airy, well-furnished - in a great central location within easy walking distance of all the main sights. There is no lift but the third floor is manageable and gives you a great view. The big sitting room is lovely for the evenings in, and the bedrooms were comfortable too. The street is mostly small offices so it is quiet at night (a tram line is being installed in the street so not sure whether this will make a difference). The owner was very helpful with suggestions for good restaurants locally and in other areas of the city we'd wanted to visit - also helped with cycle route planning! The only things that were a little bit irritating were the lighting - central overhead lights only in the sitting room which was a bit over bright in the evening - and a bit unrelaxing and in the bedrooms the overhead lights and bedside lights both worked off the same central switch. In the shower room two lights were out and were not replaced making the lighting very dim. In sitting room and bedrooms a couple of small side or table lamps would have made all the difference. A couple of other minor things like a broken towel hook in the toilet which meant no place to hang hand towel and a shower drain that was blocked when we got there. But overall we would definitely go back.

L'appartement etait plus sombre et très bruyant : bruits de circulation et du tramway ainsi que les bruits des locataires du dessus : discussions, bruit de chaises que l'on tire et le bruits des pas.

L'appartement est très bien desservi très agréable Les lits très confortables et le plus le le lit parapluie pour bébé. Il est au 4 ème étage sans ascenseur donc a prendre en compte si vous avez des enfants qui ne marchent pas encore. Four et cafetière fonctionnent mais sont fatigués.
