Hi Leslie, the communal rooms are limited to the downstairs foyer and laundry room. I don’t advertise the downstairs bathroom located in the laundry room because as I’m sure you’ve seen it is used as storage. Hence there being only 2 and not 3 bathrooms listed. In the description of the laundry room it states it’s shared with the upstairs unit. If you had questions about the shared spaces I would have answered them ahead of time. The trash and recycling cans that you referred to as dumpsters are along the left side of the house. There is not sitting area near the trash bins unless the chairs you are referring to are the beach chairs which I assume guests leave there after they come back from the beach. You mentioned the French doors. I have been locked out of the unit as have several guests and I can promise you that you cannot just push in those doors when they are locked. If you could, it would’ve saved me money on a locksmith. Our neighbors at Runaway Bay recently cut down some trees on our property line and there was some confusion about what had been done. The branches have been removed. From what I saw they were in front of the front deck. There was still plenty of parking in the front, side, and back of the house as I state in the guest booklet. As far as communication you booked on April 25, I messaged you on the 26th. Sent check-in instructions on July 11th for your stay on July 21st. We communicated again on the 14th as I accommodated your early arrival. I heard nothing of these issues until I saw this review. There are plenty of beach chairs to accommodate all of our guests. The toys and such are left behind by other guests and I go through them to weed out unusable items. I too noticed the cockroaches after you checked out. There were crumbs and spills left all over the floor. That tends to bring in bugs. This house is over 100 years old located across from the beach in a humid climate. Things get wet and rust. We’ve had the house tested for black mold and it’s not detected in the house. At the end of the day this property is $250 a night. If you want a brand new, updated beach house with all the bells and whistles you need to edit your search criteria. We try our best to give our guests a great stay and the majority of the reviewers would agree with that.

Thanks for the review Lori. I did buy a new box of coffee pods. I left them on the top shelf of the laundry room. I apologize, I thought they would have been visible through the glass door.
