“Our stay was short but our experience with staff was excellent. They were very friendly, efficient and accommodating. The room we stayed in had a lot of character and was clean and comfortable. We would have liked to stay longer to check out the bar and relax on our attached deck but our schedule didn’t allow that. We’d stay again if we’re in the area.”

“Cabin was very clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. It rained and they normally lock the pool and hot tub when it rains, but they were super accomadating and unlocked the hot tub for us.”

“We were checked in virtually...impersonal and unprofessional, in my opinion. Room assigned to us had a window that didn't lock and a curtain that had been cut. We reported it and were moved to a different room which was clean and had no damages. We lost about an hour of time (after a 12-hour travel day) to be able to explore Fort Bragg, due to having to try to communicate with the virtual person on the kiosk and changing rooms. Only complaint about the new room was the fitted sheet on the bed……

“Property is a great location. Getting to the beach is difficult. The carpet of our room was filthy. I walked on it without socks and shoes a few times and the bottom of my feet were black. I assumed it had to do with the hot tub, and people getting the floor wet and dirt collecting.”

“If you're only staying a night and have no other options, it's fine. Our room did not have a functional locking mechanism and the space felt dirty and barren. Weird vibes in the parking lot and did not feel super safe.”

“Room was very nice and clean. The room fit all four of us perfectly ! Great water pressure with lots of hot water . Pool was absolutely perfect temperature and the hot tub was relaxing . Great location for us to be in . We will be back for sure. Thank you for having us .”

“Very clean, comfortable environment, the only drawback is that the air in the room is a bit stuffy”

“The only issue was there weren’t enough towels. In fact, there was only one for three people, and it took a little bit of time to get extra ones, but they did come through the room that they gave us was the corner room, which had the most windows I’ve ever seen in any place I’ve rented and it was all across the entire water and across everything in the area I think it must’ve been the best room.”

“My husband, dog, and I stayed at Mendocino Cove during their soft opening in June 2026. The property was so peaceful, pet-friendly, and extremely clean. It was a little zen oasis between Fort Bragg and Mendocino. It was so convenient to have to have pickleball courts to play at anytime, and the private beach was an absolute gem. From staying in room 3, it was nice to have a little semi-private patio looking into the garden, too. It was really nice to sleep in a bed where I couldn't feel my……

“Well I’m going to start with a positive…. Great parking and easy access to the main rd thru Fort Bragg. Within walking distance to a few bfast spots and or coffee shops. Which was nice since we had been on motorcycles all day.. Now let’s get into the negatives As many other people have advised if you actually read the reviews. lol. We didn’t…. The hotel is old, dingy, moldy, dirty. What they need to do is close down during winter, since that is the slow season for Fort Bragg. Or……
