We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in the peaceful & idyllic setting.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in the peaceful & idyllic setting. Surrounded by nature. It was just what we wanted.Back to basics of sitting in front of the fire playing cards and board games. Walking through the forest, watching birds & the rabbits. Listening to the owls & being amazed by the stars.As someone previously noted, it is a little distance from shops or pubs but that suited us perfectly & we made sure we packed enough food etc for our stay. We did visit the lovely pub in Trecastle- The Castle Coaching Inn which was a nice treat.We honestly loved this stay & we highly recommend it for the wonderful hosts, the very welcoming fire, cakes & cute homemade owls & hedgehogs!

Lovely, peaceful location for a break in the middle of the forest.

Lovely, peaceful location for a break in the middle of the forest. Owners, Paul & Rose very accommodating but not intrusive. Lots of places to visit and lovely country walks, if you feel energetic! Well-equipped accommodation, with a lovely wood-burner for cosy evenings in and plenty of garden birds to view during they if you don't feel like going out. If your lucky of a clear night, with no light pollution { unless you have a full moon} gives you an amazing sky full of stars. 4 days was too short a break, we will be back for a longer visit next time.

Beautiful, homely lodge, in lovely surroundings.

Beautiful, homely lodge, in lovely surroundings. Peaceful and quiet, with walks on the doorstep or just sit and relax in the garden and watch the numerous birds which visit the bird table. A good central place in the Brecon Beacons from which to explore. The owners are friendly and there if needed.

Our stay was wonderful, we were made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The lodge is beautiful and has everything you could need. The beds were very comfortable and bathrooms a very high standard. We enjoyed the log burner and beautiful garden. Thank you! X
