Love this place Have stayed twice for early morning flights Rooms are so cosy and inviting Large comfy bed and quiet music in background Pub and bar area is lovely They also leave a small variety of pastries to take to airport if early hr flight Will definitely recommend and will return
Really great place to stay if you have a flight from Bristol airport. Check in was at the bar and then they showed us to our room. Very clean and comfortable bed. We also arrived just before 6pm on a Sunday when the restaurant kitchen closed at 6pm and they allowed us to eat once we had settled in after this time and made an exception. Continental breakfast was laid out from around 1am for early flights which was a really extra touch. Would really stay again even if it wasn’t for an early morning flight.
I enjoyed my stay at The George very much. It’s in beautiful countryside, good for walks . The staff were friendly & attentive.
My only negative comment would be that I would have appreciated jam or marmalade being available for breakfast rather than Marmite & Nutella .
The room was really good. It just lacked a fridge for keeping cold drinks. There was a spot-on air conditioner, a radio, and TV. The bathroom was modern and roomy. The large garden was great in the hot weather, with lots of cover. The staff were friendly and helpful. A good experience all round.
Nice pub and rooms were comfortable, clean with nice decor.
Breakfast is self service continental only. No food when we arrived at 6.30pm Sunday. Seems a bit early to stop serving, but it does say this on website to be fair, so our fault for not checking. Had to settle for Dominos pizza delivered to the pub.
