Harbor House is the exception. We loved it! My wife photographed the room and sent photos to family and friends. The pool and hot tub were the cherry atop the ice cream.”
“Had everything one would need for a few nights stay. Plenty of extra towels and blankets, the ac was nice and cold when needed and the space was clean. Nice, quiet surrounding area with a Walmart and a gas station within walking distance. Need transportation for night life in the downtown area. Definitely could have used some black out curtains on some of the windows throughout the space. ”

“hotel is newly renovated since the last time it was hit by hurricane Ian (2022). room were clean, nice view from balcony, staff were friendly. unable to experience the hotel restaurant. beach area is clean with 2 beach chairs and umbrella included with hotel stay ( probably cost $80). hotel has a dj with daily activities which is a plus. area wise, the whole fort myer beach is still recovering with lots of ongoing constructions. pier/ boardwalk still missing. maybe in 4-5 years it might be……

If you want a quiet getaway on Sanibel Island with quick access to the beach, a private patio and grill, access to bicycles, an outdoor hot/cold shower, a shell washing station, and beach chairs/umbrella/wagon - this is it! The owner, Joe, has an eye for detail and it shows throughout your stay. I wanted a beach experience and that’s exactly what I got at Tarpon Tale Inn. Other than to explore (Blind Pass, Bowman Beach, Turner Beach and Captiva) the island……
“The cottage was clean and updated with everything you need, toiletries, kitchen pans and utensils, a full beach cart with everything needed for the beach. I took a few naps in the sun in the hammock. The location is great, an easy block to the beach. The only thing we had difficulty with was the gas grill did not heat up sufficiently to cook burgers. It was an incredible relaxing place for a family vacation, highly recommend it”
