Accommodation is within an old chapel. It has been tastefully converted to a very comfortable guest house. Room and breakfast excellent and owners very friendly. Will definitely use again.

Highly recommend this guesthouse the owner could not be more helpful and friendly, it’s spotless and ideally situated for both burnt island and Kirkaldy.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very cute and comfortable and location was great. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts, Steve and Yvonne could not have been friendlier or more helpful!

Our stay at Cardinals Folly has been outstanding in many aspects: The guest rooms are absolutely tidy and so very comfortable. We were offered a large choice of Scottish breakfast, which was better and more than we could wish for. Yvonne and Steven are wonderful hosts. They gave us great tips for sightseeing, hiking and dining and even booked us a table at the nearby restaurant (which ist a must-go). Next time we visit Scotland, we will consider no other place but Cardinals Folly!

This is the place I wouldn’t tellanybody about because the next time I will go to Scotland this will be my first choice. When I say that it will probably be fully booked. Wonderful and caring host.

It’s a lovely well kept property, the hosts (sorry I’ve forgotten their names) couldn’t do enough for us. We felt very welcome. Breakfast was lovely with more than enough selection to suit any tastes. The room with its extra touches like a magnified mirror and ear plugs incase you want to sleep with the windows open (seagulls are loud). Was a lovely touch. We’ve never really stayed at a guest house before, but after this experience we will definitely be looking at them more instead of the chain hotels where we usually stay.

The hosts were superb. The venue also . It was an extremely comfortable place to stay and I would go again at the drop of a hat!

We were made to feel very welcome by the hosts. The place itself has character and was done so nicely inside. The bedroom was cosy, but one thing I would say our mattress was bit too soft. The breakfast was cooked fresh when ordered.so was delicious.I would highly recommend it as a lovely place to stay.

We chose medium orthopaedic ones to try to suit most people, I'm sorry the mattress was too soft for you. Kind regards, Yvonne

Amazing Hosts with a Fantastic Guest house
My wife and I along with my mum and dad stayed here for a weekend in March 2019. This was our 2nd time staying here. Yvonne and Stephen made us feel so welcome on our first visit we had to come back. Both joined us in the upstairs guest lounge to help us celebrate my wife's birthday. This ended up a great wee night which had my mum and dad raving about this fantastic guest house. The rooms are spotless and comfortable and breakfast was up to Yvonne's high standard. I would recommend Cardinals Folly to anyone wanting to visit this beautiful village of Kinghorn.

Yvonne greeted me in such a friendly manner and made me feel at home after a long journey .Very comfy with nice personal touches .my breakfast was perfectly what I asked for and right on time .All served with big friendly smiles ☺

Excellent stop over
A really nice place to stay. The hosts are very helpful and eager to please. There are all sorts of nice touches that show how much they want you to enjoy your stay.
