The accommodation is on the first floor and has 10 steps to the entrance. It does have sloping ceilings on the front and rear elevation, check pictures. The apartment has an open plan 1 Bedroom with 2 seater sofa, single armchair, dining table with 2 chairs, Tv with free sat and DVD player. The kitchen is separate and has a gas cooker with 4 burner hob, grill and oven. Also there is a toaster, microwave, sink and fridge with small freezer compartment. Cutlery and pots and pans etc. The Bathroom has a Bath this is under a sloping ceiling, toilet, basin with mirror and light no shaving point and a heated towel rail. All bedding, linen and towels provided. Outside patio area available and BBQ is available by request.

The location is superbly situated for great walks around the Peak District, with one starting straight out of the door!

Castleston is a nice walk away or a 5 minute drive. This picturesque village has local attractions like speedwell cavern where you are taken down a stunning underground boat experience .

Peak cavern is also situated in Castleton which has the largest natural cave entrance in the British Isles! Castleton is the only place where the famous Blue John Gem is found and there are lovely shops selling the stone set in pieces of Jewellery etc.

We have a local pub the Devonshire Arms located 100 yards from the accommodation. Not open Mon, Tues and Wednesday.


Chatsworth house is only a 15-20 minute drive away where you can take in the stunning beauty of its parks and cafe and you can also take a tour around the house. Booking and charges may apply.

Alton Towers theme park is a 30 minute drive away if you into thrill seeking rides! They also have the splash landings swimming resort with water slides etc. Booking in advance is advised for this.
