  • Set on the second floor of a Grade II-listed mansion beside Buxton’s Pavilion Gardens, this stylish apartment offers the perfect base for couples and small families planning Peak District adventures together. The neighbouring gardens boast over 23 acres of Victorian parkland; discover ornamental lakes, rolling lawns and a charming cafe just moments away. Buxton’s centre abounds with boutique shops, local restaurants and the famous Opera House, while just 1 mile away awaits a day of underground adventures at Pool’s Cavern. Walkers will delight in the wealth of historic town trails as well as routes leading out of Buxton and into the dramatic national park. For nearby attractions and a dose of the region’s history, destinations such as Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall sit within 10 miles of the apartment. From local culture to days of outdoor adventure, this property offers the ideal base for an exciting Peak District getaway.

    Step through the building’s shared entrance and climb the regal staircase to your apartment. Step inside and discover a chic and airy space where comfort meets sophistication. An open-plan living space greets you, combining the lounge and diner with a well-appointed kitchen. Appreciate the underfloor heating as you pad over to the lounge space; sink into the soft seating and catch your favourite shows on the Smart TV. When stomachs rumble, find all you need in the kitchen to cook up a feast using your new local flavours, then gather at the warming dining space to enjoy the chef’s work. When it’s time to call it a night, two elegant bedrooms promise restful nights: choose from a super-king-size room with a TV, an en-suite bathroom and zip-and-link beds that convert to twins on request, and a king-size bedroom that makes use of a separate shower room with a walk-in shower.

    While there is no private outdoor space at the property, guests are placed just metres from Buxton’s public gardens, making for lovely morning walks and post-dinner strolls. Guests will also benefit from shared bike storage, a drying room and additional shower facilities. Private parking is available for one car either to the rear of the building (on Hartington Road); from this entrance, it is just one flight of stairs up to the apartment. Additional on-street parking is subject to availability.
