"Amazing value, huge en-suite room with adjoining living room with large smart TV, kitchen area and loungers. We even had sea views from two windows. All within the walled town a stones throw from the castle. Best value o have ever had with Expedia. Well done Sue, you should put your prices up!"
"We had a great experience here. The rooms were clean and spacious. The pool, stteam room, and sauna were well maintained. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was very helpful. The hotel is very cloae to the harbor, castle, and lots of places to eat and enjoy."
"The hotel infrastructure and staff were excellent. Clearly much thought was given to the history of the ancient establishment and the artwork in the various public areas was impressive. The only let-down was the catering. The food was adequate but hardly memorable and the pre-paid breakfast - £15 - wasn’t really up to much. The promise of a tasty Egg Royale didn’t deliver. However, I would stay there again and the hotel deserves its good reputation; hopefully we were just unlucky with the catering during our visit. All credit to the staff though."
Kingfisher Cottage Caernarfon-river rambling & relaxing, in a beautiful setting
8/10 Good
"Overall this is a great property, 2 double bedrooms and a twin. Well apportioned kitchen, bathroom and outside space. Host was brilliant with communication and the overall location in respect to local amenities and the Snowdonia national park are perfect, the outdoor pool (check season) was also lovely and the campsite cafe and bar knocks out pretty good food. Not to be negative but the decking needs some serious maintenance as a large amount of the boards are rotten and loose, our only real complaint is the water pressure, the bathroom is just off the kitchen on the ground floor and it is a set of cottages in a remote valley in a national park so we understand the challenges, however whilst the powershower was excellent when it didn't run out of water, the bathroom tap was but a mere dribble for hot water, it would take about 20 minutes to fill the sink. So shower great, sink pointless other than cold water. Our only other bit of feedback is the towels provided are tiny."
Cottage On The Banks Of The River Colwyn With Private Split Level Patio Area
10/10 Excellent
"Lynn was great to communicate with and provided helpful responses. The cottage was exceptionally clean and extremely quiet, especially after the day visitors to Beddgelert headed out. Overnight we experienced a wonderful quiet in which the loudest sound was a bird calling. The cottage’s kitchen was very well equipped and kindly stocked with milk and some snacks, vinegar and oil. The washer and dishwasher and the oven and range, all appliances, worked wonderfully. There was a very good expandable clothes drying rack, we were not able to find the clothes dryer. Wifi was strong, lots of good tv options if needed, and the main bed was very comfortable. The location cannot be beat. The terrace directly accessed via the kitchen looks out on the delightful small river with its clear water and the large trees and field beyond. A short and easy walk into town and all of the shops, pubs, and the visitor center. Parking was mostly easy to find on the street, especially outside of the peak day visitor times, and there is a nearby car park, though we never needed to use it. Overall a wonderful place, highly recommended."
