There was no overrepresentation of this villa on the web site. The views from inside and on the balconies were glorious. The pool was great and the kitchen equipped with absolutely everything one could wish for. The seating areas inside and out were excellent. We had a wonderful time here and Jardim do Mar is a very pretty little village. Just one thing, access is about a 5 minute walk from the car along steep alleyways, with steps, so this is not the place for anyone with mobility issues.

The kitchen was perfectly stocked with everything we needed. The pool was phenomenal! Highly recommend. This house is perfect for both adults and children (we want to bring them next time) and is located is a quite and peaceful Parrish, away from the hustle of Funchal. We are so happy we booked this house. Plus, having access to laundry was such a bonus. Our only feedback would be that having more comfortable mattresses would have made for better sleeping.

Lovely location and we were prepared for the walk to the accommodation as described in the property details.The views from every window great and yes there is going to be a restaurant and gallery built nearby (it won’t overlook or impact the views from the property) and it will be convenient when you don’t want to cook!

Gorgeous Location

The house is located in a small charming fishing village. The view of the ocean below is spectacular! We went with another couple for 8 nights and the home was very comfortable. We would highly recommend it!

Another wonderful stay at this lovely villa

This was our third stay and a first rate experience from communication with the owners to the on-site support from Chris and team. Located in Jardim do Mar, the jewel in the crown of Madeira, it's a joy to hear the ocean, the kestrels and watch the sunsets. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Classy villa

This is our third stay at this wonderfully located villa. We love Jardim do Mar, and this villa is our No 1 choice for holidays in Madeira. If it had some sort of solar powered pool heating it would be even better. Other than that, it is pretty much perfect, clean, lovely views, spacious and really quite classy.

Sound of the surf in a quiet village

Jardim is a lovely village. No roads but walking paths. The villa is perfect, Nice view at the Ocean and the cliffs. If you get nervous from 24*7 sound of the surf this is not your place. We got zen and would love to return.

Wonderful

This house has the most wonderful views. Whichever room you are in you are treated to sea or cliff views. The village of Jardim do Mar is very pretty and peaceful. We had a very restful ten days here. Easy check in. Good contact. Everything is spotlessly clean. Kitchen is well stocked. Everything was just perfect. Joes bar is just a short walk away and was a lovely place to eat or drink. All in all a great holiday.

Surpassed expectations

This property is absolutely breathtaking, when we booked we knew it would be amazing but the reality of the property and the location is so much more than the listing shows. I was extremely impressed with the property itself, so much bigger and better than the pictures portray. The views from the property are out of this world, absolutely stunning. Sleeping with the door open listening to the waves is something else. I cannot rate this property enough, Jardim Do Mar is beautiful, whilst we did explore some of Madeira I would have been content staying put. We will absolutely be looking to return we have fallen in love with Madeira and this house, I fear for any future bookings elsewhere as I don’t think they will live up to this. Sinply amazing

Great property; great views. Good location. The listing could do more to make clear that you cannot park at the house. You need to find a parking space in the village and walk c10 minutes to the house. The village is lovely so this would not generally be an issue but one of our party has a bad leg. Expect around an hour's drive to most tourist destinations. A welcome pack (e.g. milk, bread, coffee) would have been appreciated - especially because our flight was on a Sunday and delayed so that we did not land until after the shops shut. A folder with guidance is also recommended. Btw, note that the lava tubes at St Vincente are currently closed and have been for several years - due to re-open in 2024.

This is the second time we have stayed here, which is a testimony in its own right. Amazing views and very well equipped. Chris was very responsive when we needed any help, expecially getting my luggage back to the car. Would definitely visit again.

Lovely spot to simply relax

Beautiful village and plenty of sunshine. The house is right at the end of the village. There isn't any car access to the house so pack light to carry your necessities in from the central parking lot. Very peaceful!

The town and view are hard to beat. Chris the onsite host was incredible. Kitchen was great and well equipped, but it would have really been nice to have some things like paper towels and cooking oil already there since the shop in town is limited. Bathrooms need to be updated, especially with most other rentals in town being newly updated, these are dated and wearing out, things like the shower door seals are all split and degrading. Shower heads are awful. The washer and dryer are pretty worn, dirty and rusted, but they did work ok for us. The house could really use a deep cleaning, key areas like kitchen and bathrooms were clean but had mold in other parts of the bathroom, walls are dirty and the blinds throughout have dirty handprints all over them like someone grabbed them with BBQ sauce on their hands. There was also a severe ant problem in the house. Kitchen and bathrooms were full of small black ants, all food of any kind had to be kept in the oven or fridge and it made food prep a challenge. There were few towels, and they were all very thin, though there were two great pool towels. The pool was great, lots of chairs inside and outside with nice cushions. We loved that there are so many doors that can be fully opened to the outside. Images are a bit dated, there are a couple more houses beside it now and a large crane blocking much of the view building a restaurant just below. Overall, I would still rent it again and had a great experience despite the minor issues.

Wir haben uns wieder sehr wohl gefühlt und die Lage sowie die Aussicht sind wirklich außergewöhnlich. Die Kommunikation mit Cecile & Nicolas war sehr gut.Gleichwohl waren wir diesmal nicht gänzlich zufrieden mit der Sauberkeit (Terrasse, Fenster, Grillarea) Zudem sind insbes. die Badezimmer aus unserer Sicht wirklich renovierungsbedürftig. In der Küche hatten wir anfänglich sehr sehr viele Ameisen, die wir nur mit viel Aufwand in den Griff bekommen haben. Die Schlafzimmer waren aber sehr schön und vor allem die Betten/Matratzen waren wirklich gut. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen, wenn der Zustand des Hauses sich verbessert und etwas investiert wird

Einfach klasse!

Das Inserat hat tatsächlich komplett mit der Realität übereingestimmt. Das Haus war sehr sauber und die Übergabe mit Chris war sehr freundlich und angenehm. Die Lage des Hauses ist ein absoluter Traum! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Super Lage - ruhig und direkt oberhalb des Meeres, großes Haus, super ausgestattete Küche - so viel Geschirr, Besteck und Töpfe hatten wir noch nie in einem Ferienhaus. Wir waren 5 Erwachsene. Eigentümer haben Fragen schnell beantwortet. TV haben wir nicht genutzt. Möglicherweise muss man sich für die Nutzung von Sendern registrieren und bezahlen. Bitte beachten, dass man mit dem Auto nicht bis zum Haus fahren kann, steht aber in der Objektbeschreibung drin. Schwere Koffer und Einkäufe schleppen ist mitunter etwas mühsam. Aber das ist der einzige "Nachteil". Also gerne wieder!! Simone
