“We stayed in the tower suite which was overall lovely room. For that price, I would appreciate if the amenities are a bit nicer. The quality of the shamoo/conditioner was not very good in my opinion. I found the pillows were useless, too airly and too soft, feels like no substance in them. My neck was in terrible pain when I woke up. The pool was nice but I think it would be good to have a booking system. At some point, too many people came and there were not enough room for everyone. “Quirky old accommodation lovely staff fab evening food, ok continental breakfast...great vibe in the pub lovely and friendly people. Room was comfy, did need some attention to cleanliness, but saying that the bed was spotless and very comfy...bathroom small but well equipped.”

“I had a warm welcome and my case was taken up to my room. The room was large with king sized bed. All clean, dated, but that suited the age of hotel! There was a small table with kettle and a selection of tea, coffee etc. Large en-suite with large shower. Lots of choices on breakfast menu and cooked freshly. Parking was easy. Location was excellent. 5 minutes walk to Lacock Abbey. Lacock is a very small place but very interesting.”

“Room was good, bed comfy, shower worked well. It’s in the middle of town so there is some noise, especially on a Saturday night, but to be expected. Checking in was easy although it would have been helpful to have two room keys. The woman on the desk did not seem entirely in the same world as everyone else. Parking can be a problem but usually can park in town square (which you need to pay for, either in cash/card or by downloading the local app). Place fairly clean, tables for breakfast……

“Everything about this charming countryside retreat was what we hoped for and more. The staff was a welcoming and alsways there to help. The food was delicious and better than we expected. Our room generously sized, modern and comfortably appointed. (We did request a fan though as there’s no air conditioning, and the staff was quick to oblige.) “We loved our stay here. The gardens and Inn are really lovely and we enjoyed having several meals in the restaurant. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. This was a great location to head out for day trips and a restful spot to return to at the end of a busy day. Fantastic!”

“Very hotel in some deeper and in much need of updating albeit some work was happening as floors were up but nothing warned of or briefed Room was basic, tv did not work, staff knew but declined to mention it or offer any fix or assistance. Complaints department details requested on check out and was told ‘someone would be jn touch’. They haven’t. Still. Pretty disappointing in all.”

“Property delivers beautiful views, but the good was average and below expectations, the fans provided in the bedrooms were inadequate and I barely slept a wink, disturbed further by an early morning brewery delivery below my bedroom window. I won’t be staying again :-(”
