“Excellent”

“We stayed in the tower suite which was overall lovely room. For that price, I would appreciate if the amenities are a bit nicer. The quality of the shamoo/conditioner was not very good in my opinion. I found the pillows were useless, too airly and too soft, feels like no substance in them. My neck was in terrible pain when I woke up. The pool was nice but I think it would be good to have a booking system. At some point, too many people came and there were not enough room for everyone. “This charming Inn was just what we wanted, old world charm mixed with great accommodations. The food from breakfast to dinner was wonderful. The garden area was equally warm and inviting.”

“Room was good, bed comfy, shower worked well. It’s in the middle of town so there is some noise, especially on a Saturday night, but to be expected. Checking in was easy although it would have been helpful to have two room keys. The woman on the desk did not seem entirely in the same world as everyone else. Parking can be a problem but usually can park in town square (which you need to pay for, either in cash/card or by downloading the local app). Place fairly clean, tables for breakfast……

“I had a warm welcome and my case was taken up to my room. The room was large with king sized bed. All clean, dated, but that suited the age of hotel! There was a small table with kettle and a selection of tea, coffee etc. Large en-suite with large shower. Lots of choices on breakfast menu and cooked freshly. Parking was easy. Location was excellent. 5 minutes walk to Lacock Abbey. Lacock is a very small place but very interesting.”

“Lovely hotel the only downside which I had not realised was breakfast started at 8 and we needed to leave at 730. The staff were lovely and provided us with cereal and milk the night before. We eat in the restaurant on the evening of our arrival and the food was excellent.”

“We had an excellent stay at Whitley Coach House in March. The property had everything we needed for three nights away to explore the area. It was lovely and clean, very comfortable, light, airy and warm. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed to prepare home cooked meals. The fridge has a good size freezer above which is very useful if you want to take frozen food with you. There is a good range of cutlery, crockery and glasses, saucepans, oven/roasting tray's. “I stayed overnight on Wednesday 3 June. On the Thursday morning I got up to find there was no hot water in my room. I had to wash and shave using cold water. Most unsatisfactory. I went to reception and the staff there was most unhelpful. I asked to make a formal complaint and asked the manager to contact me by phone or email. No follow up has been forthcoming. I feel robbed as I paid quite a high price for the room and in my opinion have not been given the customer service anyone would……

“Lovely location in a charming village, close to Castle Combe. We had a drink in the bar and dinner in the restaurant, both of which were great. The bed & pillows were excellent, and the host quickly supplied the top sheet we asked for. Fast wifi ticked the box. A little milk for tea or coffee would have been good, also the shower gel container was empty, but we would have no reservations in recommending the Neeld Arms for a stay!”
