The unit was spotless and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. Just check the bottle opener - bad quality and not in working order. Also the cushions on the bed needs to be repalced.

Perfect spot in Franschhoek

I can't imagine having a better experience - the most wonderful hospitality & it's a perfect location. The staff is exceptional & the apartments are spacious, comfortable, & private. The town is great the main thoroughfare is literally seconds from the hotel & on the corner opposite the property there's puzza/pasta restaurant with a large courtyard that has live music sometimes. I felt safe and well cared for during my stay - I'll definitely be back when I have future trips to this exceptional Wine Country!

We went to Franschhoek for our first trip and couldnt have chosen a better location! The apartment was perfect and in a great location for experiencing everything the town has to offer- walking distance to the shops, restaurants, wine tram, and grocery store. Great amenities and wonderful staff! Highly recommend!

I rented the luxury penthouse and it was very nice. Felt like home. The area is very walkable with restaurants, grocery, and shops within a very short distance. I grabbed Starbucks everyday and sat on the balcony to enjoy the beautiful mountain views. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I plan to return to this property again.

One of the best apartment's we have ever stayed in. Location, value for money, service, friendliness, comfort and overall experience was simply outstanding. I would not consider staying anywhere else in Franschhoek

Recently returned from a 3 night stay at these apartments and we had a great stay in apartment 6. It was modern, clean and bang in the centre of Franschhoek town. The check in was the quickest ever and room was ready for us despite arriving early. The facilities were great and bed comfy - didn’t want to leave the place and wouldn’t hesitate to book when visiting again 😀

The apartment was beautiful, location was perfect with restaurants and Restaurants just few steps away. Staff super friendly. You can park inside the property in a gated garage. Super clean and beautiful decoration. We are planing to stay there again in January. Thank you for a very pleasant stay!

Bait and Switch! Watch for add on fees

It’s a bait and switch. They won’t let you add people to the booking on hotels.com. Once you arrive they add $75 per person on top of the booking fee. It’s a nice place but watch out for the add on fees.

The Ivy was recommended to us by good friends for it's amenities, being close to the heart of Franschhoek and for being a little "home away from home" and it certainly delivered. We were welcomed by Wellington and he was just so pleasant and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. There is a great little welcome area with some lovely snacks, waters etc. Load shedding did happen whilst we were there but it really wasn't;t a problem, the unit is equipped with an inverter so it was really the fridge and zircon that was off in that time, which had no effect on our stay, all the lights still worked which was wonderful. We would definitely stay again on our next visit to beautiful Franschhoek. Highly recommend a day on the wine tram too :)

It all came together in the end

The confirmation said to tell them when you would arrive. Since I have no phone I had to hunt for email address. Locked gates when I arrived two hours earlier than I said. Hard to judge time. Nice woman with limited English said okay at two. I came, great facility, front door lock came out in my hand. Everything nice, clean, great location. They need to update their paperwork how the alarm works.. But good stay and I highly recommend.

Schöne Wohnung in schöner Lage. Leider keine richtigen Wände in der Wohnung. Somit überall gleichzeitig alles zu hören, sowie beim Licht direkt alles hell. Außerdem funktioniert der Trockner nicht. Ansonsten sehr nett und empfehlenswert.

Super sleek

Apologies or the gush. But these are trophy apartments. Looks like everything was built or bought just yesterday. We were like puppies running around squealing. Could not be a better location. Loved the sweet little swimming pool. Really appreciated he laundry, and reveled on the balcony.

Well located and excellent service on arrival. The apartment we had needed some renovation - toilet door handle fell off and the skirting around the kitchen area wasn't fixed. However overall the property is lovely and has all the amenities needed for any length of stay

lovely and central!

It was wonderful and not the first time staying at the Ivy. It is literally off the main street. Great space. Just a couple of things - no bulbs in bedside lamp and bedding feather, even after calling reception and being told of course it is not (my sister is slightly allergic, I love feather bedding). Otherwise, really great place to stay. I'd suggest more coffee pods and perhaps a description of what type of coffee is in the various pods. Thank you
