“We used to stay at this hotel at least once a year, to have a weekend with a glorious beachfront view, and we could always request the same room. Coming back now, it’s a totally different vibe. Seems like it has been bought out, and the new company only cares about profit, not the actual guests. We requested our same room and didnt get it, and instead we were berated at check-in for booking through a third party. We wanted to do laundry (which they used to have), but they no longer have it. “It's a good clean basic motel. Staff is friendly. Rooms are clean. It's close to the freeway. It's close to city central to be convenient, but far enough away to not be bothered by the crowds. There's a refrigerator in the room.
There is a liquor store/market 100 feet away, and there are two good restaurant/bars within walking distance.
It's 2 miles from the pier...about a $9 Lyft ride if you don't want to drive.
There is no breakfast or vending machines, except for the soda vending……
