Amazing experience! The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful in setting up our dinner and wine tour. Room had a beautiful view. This was the best part of our journey through Italy. Keep up the great work! A+
What an amazing place, staff were brilliant the room was amazing & and the buildings around the winery were amazing, the little wine bar made us feel very welcome . Definitely stay again
It was a glorious place. So quaint, clean and rustic. Very relaxing and peaceful stay. Friendly team members and excellent wine. We met some friendly people on the wine tour. The breakfast was delicious! Many options for those who don’t eat pork and a beautiful location. This is a place to return for another vacation. I will be back! 😊
Beautiful village with history and wine, however, we were told the room we booked is under construction, hence we were moved to a different room where it was not the best.
Staff are friendly but could be better.
The wine bar folks were amazing though.
This hotel is a gem! I loved the fact that it has a winery and you can schedule a tour. The staff is very friendly, especially Gaetano who was very helpful assisting us with directions and giving us suggestions for restaurants near the area, not just the one at the hotel. The hotel food was fabulous our stayed was a pleasure, Castello di Fonterutoli Wine Resort is the perfect place for rest and delight the palate.

Good area to stay with excellent staff’s assistance! Just the water shower is not that hot and good.
Room located in a hilltop location in a winery.
Like staying in a castle, stone flooring, high ceiling, exquisite decoration, large shared living room/kitchen.
Room overlooking countryside and experienced sunset.
Breakfast buffet excellent and wide choices.
Fine dining excellent food, wine, service.
This is a beautiful winery with amazing views. The setting makes you feel like you are back in time. There are two restaurants on site. We ate at the more casual one and our service was phenomenal. The one thing missing for me were places to sit outside that offered views out. There seemed to be small areas like this around the property but there were closed off and had no seating. The breakfast bar that was included with our reservation is delicious and the outdoor patio is picturesque.
This was such a lovely unique property adjacent to a winery. Such a nice experience to tour and taste at winery, then on to the Osteria for a fabulous wine and dinner pairing. The only complaint I had was that there was no where in the shower to put shampoo or soap, so I had to put it on the floor of the shower. Also, since everything is painted with shiny paint, the shower floor was very slippery and I almost fell a couple of times.
The property is situated in the region of Castellina in Chianti as is stunningly beautiful. The village of Fonterutoli is equally as breathtaking with an authentic rustic feel to it. The wine tour was very good and the dinner was absolutely excellent, particularly Monday to Saturday. The breakfast had an excellent selection of food for all to enjoy at the Osteria.
The resort is located about 8 minute drive from Castellina in Chianti, 25 minutes from Siena, 20 minutes from Monteriggioni, 35 minutes from San Gimignano and about 1 hour from Volterra.
Eleonora in the reception was incredibly helpful and welcoming, answering our questions via email before our arrival with tons of good recommendations etc. Beautiful village in the Tuscan landscapes with nothing but incredible views. Cute wine bar and an Osteria with a great view. Lovely mornings with breakfast on the Osteria terrace. We’d love to come back in the future! /Julia and Fredrik
The room and grounds here are beautiful and tranquil! It was a great getaway for relaxation and taking in beautiful Tuscany. Most of the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. One staff member who works the cafe/bar was less so as he was dismissive and rude (didn’t say hello, rolled his eyes when we gave him 10 for a 4 euro purchase, and ignored us when we said goodbye). I informed management to which they replied that they were sorry to hear and that they would speak to him to understand what happened and why. The rest of the staff was super and we overall enjoyed our stay.
