“Personal choice but didn't like the evening menu choices and breakfast was good if poached eggs were cooked better. Mine still had the clear egg slime on them. Staff were brilliant even down to the housekeeping. Room we had was really lovely, modern and a good size. Lots of space in bathroom and a great shower. Free parking was a real bonus. “I was a walker arriving at the Nag's Head at 15.30. I was warmly received and shown to my very comfortable room. Although the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening, i was provided with a wonderful Chinese meal at a very modest cost. I requested a continental breakfast which was fine. Pick Hill is a lovely small village with a long history, some of which is displayed in the ancient church. ”

“The Hotel is set in lovely surroundings. Swimming pool is excellent. the room was small and a long way to walk to get to it. We had a large room facing the front gardens last time and prefer that even though it is a bit dated. The fried eggs they brought out for breakfast fresh from the kitchen were cold not certain how that happened.It was as if they came from the fridge.”

“On arrival after a long day's hiking, I was told I'd been upgraded and was shown to a fantastic cottage at the side of the hotel. A beautiful place with a large garden and a fantastic view over the dales.”

“On arrival could have done with better signage as to where to park as we ended up parking at Forbidden Corner. Also not easy to find Reception and when we did find there was no-one there for 10 mins. Room nice, dressing gown and slippers nice touch. Had evening meal in the bar which was ok and staff were attentive. Meals on the Sunday finished at 5 and bar closed which was inconvenient. We were informed no staff on site again until Wed. We couldn’t boil kettle Mon morning as electric went off……

“Run down attrocious place. Bedroom 0 disgusting. Lots of big stains on carpet. Paint all peeled off bathroom ceiling. 1 window wont open. 1 window has nothing to hold it open. Cobwebs on ceiling and light fitting. Wallpaper peeling above radiator. We left Towels in shower to be changed were taken out and put on radiator which was off. Still wet following morning.. The following day towels again left in shower to be changed were still there when we returned ar 6.00pm. No one had been in the……
