"Really great hotel, perfect spot to see the Aurora. A little out of the way and not close to any restaurants but that’s what makes it a good spot for the Aurora because of a lack of light pollution. The hotel restaurant is good. "

"Stunning location. Decent sized rooms with lovely bedding and very clean. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because the walls are quite thin so we could hear quite a lot from other guests nearby. "

"The owner of the property is very nice. We didn’t expect that we would get free waffles in the morning. She also gave us many advices to explore the surrounding area. We learned a lot about the culture, the society and the folks of Iceland through the communication with her."

"Check in was clunky. You needed to call to get a code, but the confirmation email had one incorrect and one correct number. The free phone in the building listed the correct number but no one answered after numerous attempts. Finally emailed both listed emails to get a response. Whole building smelled like petroleum. Room was run down, but fairly clean and safe. Bathrooms were also rundown. Kitchen had basics, but don’t expect anything besides free water."

"Our stay at this cabin was absolutely incredible — it was everything we wanted and more! From the moment we arrived, it felt cozy, peaceful, and perfectly secluded. The cabin was spotless and extremely well cared for, which made it even more comfortable.We stayed during a winter storm, and the temperature inside remained warm and cozy the entire time — it was the perfect retreat from the cold. The owners’ farm is only about 400 meters away, so help was nearby if needed, but the cabin still felt wonderfully private.Their communication was top-notch — always friendly, responsive, and helpful. One of our favorite features was the hot tub, fed and heated by natural water. It felt absolutely amazing, especially in the winter weather!And we can’t forget the horses — they were beautiful and so friendly. It was such a special touch being able to see and pet them during our stay.If we could give unlimited stars, we would! Highly, highly recommended.
