Great breakfast. Amazing location and views. Staff at breakfast were extremely nice. Wonderful stay all around. Location is great for sights but hard with parking as no cars are allowed in the old city.

The location of Scala de Faro could not be beat in Chania! We took the steps directly to the harbor. Rooms were clean and comfortable - and the included breakfast was a highlight!

Wonderful, stylish, small hotel. The staff were amazing and very helpful and friendly but subtle. Views of the harbour and lighthouse are fantastic and there are super dining options a few steps away. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

This was one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. It is perfectly in the center of Chania old town. The staff was so friendly! We were so sad to leave. We will be coming again!!!

Despite my partner being in hospital for the entirety of our stay, I genuinely enjoyed my time here. The hotel is perfectly located on a charming, narrow street surrounded by shops and restaurants, with the back of the property overlooking the waterfront. A few things are worth noting, although they didn't significantly detract from my stay. This is a genuinely boutique hotel—small, intimate and quite basic, essentially offering rooms and breakfast, there are no additional facilities/amentities or communal spaces to relax. Breakfast is simple and served in a very small room, but the beautiful waterfront view more than makes up for it. We stayed in a Mountain View room with a balcony. The mountains are barely visible with the main outlook the backs of neighbouring buildings and their AC units, so the “view” was a bit disappointing. There is also a fair bit of noise from the streets at certain times, particularly early in the mornings, and some from aeroplanes passing overhead, but it didn't keep me up. The hotel itself is charming and beautifully decorated. Our room was modern, spotlessly clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Most importantly, the staff were exceptionally warm, welcoming and helpful [particularly in my circumstance], which really stood out. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this hotel. It’s a lovely, characterful place in an excellent, safe location, and the points mentioned above are really just to be aware of rather than true negatives.

A perfect location at the picturesque Venetian harbour in old town Chania. Comfortable, cosy hotel. Helpful and friendly staff. Descent breakfast. Special thanks to the Cretan-Serbian girl Anka at the reception.

This place is excellent. The only minor quibbles would be the standard ones these days, namely the bathroom has a glass door which sounded like it was going to break any second, and the bathroom wall is also opaque so that privacy is not exactly 100% and also if you need to visit the bathroom at night, you wake up people trying to sleep. Also the bathroom door was not exactly insulated, so you get to enjoy the sounds emanating from the bathroom. Otherwise an excellent hotel.

Fantastic stay- I was there for a week. Professional, welcoming and courteous team. Great facilities - all is in great condition and well maintained. Prompt, helpful service. The breakfast is exceptional- buffet options and some a la carte selection. Team put great effort and thought into making our stay comfortable and enjoyable! Would highly recommend and will stay here again.

Bel hôtel , charmant.

Boutique hôtel plein de charme. Chambre très belle décorée avec goût. Balcon donnant sur le vieux port, magnifique vue ! Attention au bruit en pleine saison, nous étions en avril et le vendredi soir on entendait les basses des bars. Petit déjeuner agréable, fait maison Le personnel est très sympa. Emplacement parfait dans la vielle ville. Un peu cher quand même pour de la basse saison.

This hotel is in the absolute best location in Old Town Chania putting you in the center of all the action and the best views whether you like people-watching or staring at the sea. The room decor and amenities were definitely among the best I have seen. Everyone on the staff was cheerful, courteous and always going the extra mile to make our stay memorable. The breakfast spread was amazing too. We had an early check out at 4 AM and they made sure to send us off with a packed breakfast which was a pleasant surprise. The closest parking spots are a short stroll away but we didn't mind it at all because you can enjoy the beautiful views of the lighthouse or take in the charming narrow streets and pet the cats on your walk from your car. We would definitely stay here again to be in the heart of Old Town Chania and explore the countless beaches and eating spots along the coast.
